  1. You're missing out on a great game, Wildbill! We're also missing your in-game commentary a great deal! So, time to get your feet wet and dive in! We won't be too cruel... (Apart from Damit and OddJob who'll tear you up from the sky, naturally!)
  2. Yes, as do all banks and exchange bureaux. That's how they make money but the exchange rate is not punitive. PayPal gave me $1.6067 to the GB Pound. xe.com shows $1.64202 to the GB Pound (albeit on a different day).
  3. Mary had a little pig, She kept it fat and plastered; And when the price of pork went up, She shot the little bastard. ******************** Mary had a little lamb. Her father shot it dead. Now it goes to school with her, Between two chunks of bread. ******************** Jack and Jill went up the hill To have a little fun. Stupid Jill forgot the pill And now they have a son. ******************** Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the kings' horses, And all the kings' men. Had scrambled eggs, For breakfast again. ******************** Hey diddle, diddle, the cat took a piddle, All over the bedside clock. The little dog laughed to see such fun. Then died of electric shock. ******************** Georgie Porgy pudding and pie, Kissed the girls and made them cry. And when the boys came out to play, He kissed them too 'cos he was gay. ******************** There was a little girl who had a little curl Right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good. But when she was bad... She got a fur coat, jewels and a sports car. ******************************* You have to be old enough to appreciate this. If you don't understand, it is because you're just too young!!!
  4. The donations are normally in USD and converted to the donor's currency when charged to your card/bank account. What's the problem/issue?
  5. Another Gump around here! Enjoy yourself and welcome! That's all I have to say about that...
  6. The Idiot who brought me in from outside into the clan. I have the warmest feelings in my heart for you, Chile! And now everyone knows whom to blame, so do they... Enjoy the month of recognition, hermano!
  7. This is how beer is made with living yeast... It's alive!
  8. I was considering installing this until the flood of angry rants appeared on here telling us how the game had been ruined.
  9. The comment does require some elaboration if it isn't a wind-up... We know about COD4 and the discontinuation of PB support for that but nothing else has been published AFAIK!
  10. This may shed a little light on recent connection problems experienced by some users. http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2014/01/03/online-games-steam-and-origin-fall-as-gamers-ring-in-new-year-ddos-ing/
  11. Yes, and note the final comments about JAVA! Get rid of that pronto!
  12. I'm getting close to the point where I would have to factor in a PSU upgrade to upgrade the video card. The problem with an off-the-shelf machine is that there is no clue as to the wattage of the PSU fitted. My guess, based on the fact that the last two cards have worked OK is that it is a 500w. Having looked at the 7950's specs, I could possibly get away with that without a new PSU but I have doubts. Maybe I can just hang on another year or two before upgrading the whole lot...
  13. The COD5 crowd know I enjoy studying languages - always have done and most of my qualifications reflect this. The trouble with foreign languages, however, is that you have to use them or lose them and, in the case of German, I visit Germany so infrequently that I have become quite rusty. I get great joy from discovering new words in a foreign tongue, especially when there is going to be a chance to use them. Today, reading through comments on an English newspaper report, I encountered one I felt I had to look up. What a find! Arschloch ! http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Arschloch I have filed that one away alongside Schwachkopf. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Schwachkopf
  14. Johnny, I seem to be doing OK with 4GB RAM and a 1GB factory-overclocked HD 6870.
  15. You can see where the DICE guys got their ideas for one of the BF4 stock maps! (Hadn't realised you were just up the road, Elmer!)
  16. Welcome to the forums, Tank! Your home town is one of our favourite places! We do love The George! When circumstances permit, we stop there for a bite on our way back to Kent from boating holidays up north. Wife and I had a weekend there on our 20th anniversary. I may see you in COD4 if you play the ACE Mod. Most of the time, I am in COD5 DM or BF4 these days. Feel friend to add me to Xfire or friend in BF4 if you play.
  17. Not an error I have suffered to date. Irritating when one loses connection to the CQ 64 server towards the end of the game (all points thus lost) and then finds oneself queued to resume... Solution: go and play somewhere else!
  18. He popped out for a bite and will be back soon.
  19. No. Bugs are fishing bait then we eat the fish.
  20. Better behaviour than I encountered when playing "off piste" in BF4 yesterday on a German clan's server. I was rammed out of the sky with the blunt message, "Go away Deejay". Makes you appreciate what you have! Whereas our clan's servers are invariably full, these clowns' emptied... A pity as they are in a German city for which I have much affection. I don't understand what the point of this voting is anyway...
  21. I presume you are aware of the unpatched kernel vulnerability in XP? Indeed, with only four months of life left in the OS, is it a good idea to stay with it? http://www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2309770/firms-urged-to-ditch-windows-xp-after-zero-day-attack-discovered-in-the-wild
