Did you get the latest Realtek sound and/or lan drivers? I've had major problems in the past with updating Realtek drivers and constant crashing or not even being able to load in on certain games. Are you running ATI or Nvidia video card? ATI has a Clean Install feature built into they're installer that works very well.

I would ditch the Raptor HDD and get a good sized SSD and a 1-2TB storage drive. I have 2 of these Intel 520 Series 240g http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167088 and a 320 series Intel and a Dead Crucial RealSSD 128gb and a OCZ vertex 180gb SSD.The Intel 520 series drives are super super fast.Intel is also the only company out there ATM that offers a 5 year warranty on they're SSD drives.Everyone else offers 2 and 3 year. I had 2 74gb raptors in Raid 0 before I got my first SSD.SSD is atleast 2x faster than any mechanical drive. Also I would not get Crucial memory.Compatibility and build quality on they're memory as of late has been horrible.And they are severely overpriced. I'm hooked on this G-Skill Ripjaws X series memory.They have lifetime warranty good speeds and I haven't found any motherboard that has compatibility issues with it.Best of all it's $124 for 2 8gb sticks.CAS 9 and 1.5v http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231568
