I must admit I have a bias against Butt Nades in CoD. If you use them they are not only uncomfortable for your avatar, but(t) you are admitting you lack confidence in your game play. It"s like saying "I'm dead, butt I'm still going to kill you". That's too leftist for my taste. You are giving up something as tactically advantageous as silent feet and convincing yourself that you are going to fail. Also, Martyrdom is easy to avoid. All you have to do is step away from everyone you kill. I have to admit I do occasionally get killed by martydom, but it is becoming more rare, and my self esteem is still in tact.

"Betty Eyes" is the old school term for the Bomb Squad perk in Call of Duty. It enables the player to detect booby traps around or through walls.etc...Betty eyes was a nick name for the famous mid 19th century actress Betty Grable. She was neither the most attractive nor talented actress of her day, but she had big guppy eyes. I'm certain they helped her to see what most people couldn't. What I like about this perk is that it helps a player  to locate campers and snipers. In freeze tag you can crawl prone up to the bomb and disarm it. In the Vietnam mod you can rearm it where you like. I have yet been unable to rearm one in the OW mod.It if a far more tactical perk than Bouncing Betty. Bouncing Bettie may alarm you when an enemy is nearby, but it also alerts the enemy of your location.

I"m SuperNate, tnis is my story,
I wont bore you with the first game I played on a computer (it was Pong, my father bought it when I was a teenager). What was interesting was my first death match. My brother-in-law Pedro was an IT expert, He and his geek friends used to hold LAN death matches. Once a week on Saturday we would all meet in a player's home at around 9AM and hook our computers together with one of their routers. They owned the latest tech equipment back in the late 1980's. The home owner host would provide snacks and beverages. After we hooked our computers together, we would share the latest games. I remember playing the first Duke Nuk'em, World at War, Madal of Honor, and Battlefield 1942 at the earliest deathmatches. We would play all day while stuffing our faces with pizza and chips. I had the honor of hosting a few Deathmatches at The City of Miami Firefighter's Benevolent Hall. They were lots of fun. We were like a clan, only we competed only against each other. Later when gaming through the internet, we stopped playing our LAN matches, those were the good old days of computer gaming.

    Thanks Merlin,
I've really enjoyed playing this new OW server. The older weapons seem to support a more varied game play than the Vietnam server. You really have to think about which weapons will be more useful for each map.

I like the XI Free For All sever, it's a good way to warm up before Freeze Tag matches in CoD 5. But the tanks have too much protection. You can hit them with 2 bazooka rounds at point blank range and not destroy them. Because players like to use tanks to destroy empty tanks they have an unfair advantage.

    Greetings Extreme Idiots,
I am happy to join the XI community, my favorite games center around WW II. I've been playing the CoD games since they began. Many of the XI Freeze-tag players know me as MonkeyFinger from the Beatle's song "Come Together". I have switched to my most used player username to register with XI.  In chemistry, the supernate is the name given to the liquid found above a precipitate or sediment. I prefer this name for freeze-tag because it implies the ability to rise above the fray while maintaining fluidity (unfrozen-ness!). Often I fail in both attempts, but that is my goal.
Playing on XI servers has exposed me to many excellent players and helped hone my game tactics. Players like Belted with excellent leadership qualities, and Athena with unmatched skills ( I have nicknamed her "the goddess of war") or DMan the giver of good advice, and Raisin who introduced me to the World of Warships, are just a few of the many examples of the fine players I have met while gaming with XI.
I'm a retired Firefighter from Miami. I love history and would like to leave you with the words of perhaps the most significant Second World War leader: "A cat looks down upon a man, and a dog looks up to a man, but a pig will look a man in the eye and see his equal." Winston Churchill
