Change to something new... which goes for every franchise... and the inevitable result is always the same. Some will leave, some will continue, and new ones will join. No idea if anyone actually has a definitive answer to that with a lot of non-subjective data to back it up. Simply personal experience, or the opinions of people you know, isnt enough to judge.
In any case, another question I suppose is whether or not there is such a thing as a 'main' server. It seems to suggest that players will go there regardless of whats on it because it has the IP. Perhaps, to remove OW2 from the question entirely... no argument about old vs new... ditch it and set up another G13. Will traffic remain the same because it is the 'main'? Or will they go elsewhere? Will the G13 crowd move because its the 'main' server?
Dont know myself, but does this 'main' server thing go for all servers? Including all games? Or is it one server among equals? My guess, go ask regulars there and they will say 'main' is bullshit. There is their own personal 'main' and that is it.

So where does the new mod go once everyone votes the old mod back in, is that going on another server at least? I much prefer that over the old one, also not keen on the idea of Sammy's work just being thrown onto the back burner, he busted his ass over this and personally I think he deserves better.
You already put the old mod back up onto a server, yet the people who complain about the new mod still flock to it rather than play on the other server, I have no sympathy for these people they just want a reason to whinge imo.

Promod? NO!  XI's servers are for Fun and not competition. We do host friendly scrims once in a while with other gaming communities but no Promod crap.  It's always been that way and it will doubtfully change any time soon.  I would kindly ask you to use the Stock COD4 Configs and do not Strafe jump or Bounce jump or any of that other crap on our servers please.    
 
 
5. We are no longer allowing strafe jumping on our servers to get to places you're not suppose to be, if you don't know what it is then you don't use it so ignore this. For the people that do use it please stop, the only reason to use it is to get to places regular jumping will not get you. Go to a jump server if you wanna do that kind of jumping. 
6. We are asking players with altered player config files to stop using them and start using stock configs so everyone is on the same playing level. Some people alter their player config files to move faster, reload faster, jump higher etc. We ask you remove all the alterations when playing on our servers. XI servers are meant to be fun for all, if you want a more pro-like or competitive feel, there are other servers out there for that.

I voted for the new mod, but for me, either of them is fine to me. Just have to adapt to it, and have fun with players on it.

I have questions though:
The old mod is available on another server so why people that want the old mod back don't go on the other server (and populate it) ?
Is the other server less good ? (idk: ping ? ci ?, ....).


And then so, to retake a question already asked, if the old mod come back on the other server, will the other server get the new mod ?

I suppose it would be convenient to try and say its a specific mod version (that any particular person doesnt like) that is somehow forcing people to go elsewhere. Sorry but this is a natural progression. Every year or two there are 1000 fewer actual cod4 servers even in the list.  All clans and their servers are dropping in traffic. XI is not immune. I am actually surprised cod4 has held on as long as it has.
In any case, the servers owners and clan leader... and only them... decide on what games and what mods are run. Polls are cute and all, but we all know that polls are bullshit and not to be trusted when it comes to making informed decisions. Unfortunately people tend to praise polls that give them what they want and dismiss those that dont.  In the past the old/new dual servers idea was tried a few times. It always ended up that the older version lost and didnt get the traffic. Pretty democratic. Each individual can go where he or she wants.
