Found this in another forum: Follow the instructions step by step. Start the Call of Duty 2 single player mode and create a new profile. Quit the game and return to the desktop. Open your Steam folder "C:\Steam\". Now copy the file "Steam.dll" and "Steam2.dll". Open the game directory where you installed Call of Duty² "C:\Steam\steamapps\cmmon\Call of Duty²\". Paste here the .dll files you copied before. Right-click on CoD2MP_s.exe, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab and select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP Service Pack 3" In the lower right corner of the screen, right-click the "Volume Mixer/Speaker Icon" and select "Recording Devices". Make sure your "default device", usually the "microphone", is ENABLED and also physically connected; if you don't have a microphone, your speakers will suffice. You may also need to copy AppOverlay.dll and AppOverlay64.dll if you want to use the Steam overlay. TL:DR Start COD2 Single Player at least once and create a profile. Windows XP SP 3 compatibility mode for CoD2MP_s.exe Copy Steam.dll and Steam2.dll into COD2 folder Microphone activated and plugged in. (default recording device) If you want to change the resolution to 1920x1080 you have to do it in the configuration file. D:\Steamapps\common\Call of Duty 2\main\players\Hariizy\Config_MP.cfg seta r_mode "1920x1080"

That sad looser is wondering why a player (last one on her team) has about 500 options on an open field to shoot at any directions, but always jumps around a corner and shooting in exact that position where another player is hiding. I now, prpgame call it preventive shooting. Well, preventiv shooting if I am the last on my team and 6 enemies are searching me, isn't pro gaming. Just having a kill more on my counter. After I asked her to make a video and load it up on Youtube, she tried to get my number. When she was recording herself, her ratio went down. It can propbaly be seen in the history, if the server records them. First record started at 15:6 and ended with 11 kills : 5 deaths by using a cars for a couple of kills. 7,5:3 / 5,5:2,5 Last record only one kill.

I don't even have a cam on my computer. And if you're in Zoom, I couldn't speak very much, since it's in the middle of the night here in germany, and my wife already at sleep. But if you want to see how I look like: Here we go

I am one of those guys not talking, but sometimes writing. The reason for that is simple: I usually play late in the evening or at night (here in Germany). My wife ist most of the time already sleeping, cause she get's up in the morning at 4:30. Our appartement isn't good enough acoustically isolated so I'd wake her up if I would be talking. The second thing is: push to talk while playing is like pulling the pin... For those moments, where I could use my mic, I haven't found out how to use my mic without pressing any button and it disrurpts my gameplay.

I'm trying to figue out how or weather it's possible to speak into my mic without pressing the "z" button. Like the speech activation on TeamSpeak servers. Anyone having an idea which settings I have to try with? I can hear everyone (in my team - especially Roxy when she get's shot and screeming), and peple on my team only can hear me, when I press the "Z" button.

I were also playing at that time and got it as well. Lecacal writes and speaks french and so far as I understood, he told is friend to come to a TS server. As far as I can judge, he tries to play without any hacks. Then, if he get's bashed too often, he possibly first tries to get ponits by using glitches in maps or even turns on his wallhack and hides at any corner. When I spectated him, I could see him respawning, not moving for about 3-5 seconds, by staring at a wall (activating his wallhack or bindings?) Whenever you got into his perimeter he always knwe from which direction you come, and already faces you to shoot.

Well, soon we will have a remix of the good old blue screen, hotfixes during gameplay, and Cortana wants you to give help by using your weapons and killing peolpe. Sounds good

Do you share your Steam Account so he can play? Or does he have an own account? Edit: Does he hae an own pc, or are you sharing the same pc? In that case, steam might be the problem.

Not my own chistmas tree, since mine will be finished this weekend, but one, I plantetd for children. Beside my main job, I have a part-time job at a foundation which assists people like homeless, refugees, children, and very young mothers with their children and more. This tree, I planted for those little children to make them happy. And it worked. They love their own christmas tree in the front yard and their eyes began to shine. About up to eight mothers with their children live at that house which has small 2 room appartments, a livingroom and a kitchen to share and have a 24h assist of social educators.

I like working on holidays or satudays. 99.9% there is noone to get on my nerves. Most idoits are at least one or moe level higher than me, and most of the time at home.

Then you should find some files with crazy names lieke 1hk23mioue1345.** Remove them as well. COD tries to finish the download and detects a wrong version.

I don't use double tap. And it feels like having a toy gun in my hand. Pink! mentioned this phenomenon on the freez tag server yesterday as well. There was a discussion about it with some more players.

I think, in this discussion, we have the problem, that two subjects are joined together 1) Server settings - da disuccion about them 2) Hackers / Cheaters / Tweakers / Binders - a never ending story Maybe this topic should be devided. When I used to play cod uo, the clan I joined played in the European ESL. After Punkbuster stopped the support of COD (UO) some of the admins and server hoster joined in a team where we developped a tool similar to PB which had to be installed. And we had always in clan wars a referee onboard as spectator. Every player had to record himself.

I also recognized that since changing the settings gameplay ist more stressful than fun. As Sven wrote: You need a lot more bullets to kill someone, feels that if you shot someone from behind, or from the side, that one just has to turn arround, and 1 or 2 bullets need to hit yourself and you're dead. Due to the old id Tech 3 engine it calculates most of the time to be a headshot or at least nearby. You can see or use that bug, if you shot and tear up your weapon at the same time. It works with a little practice from COD, COD UO, COD 2 and COD 4. So things are not balanced anymore. a bunsch of bullets should kill an opponent, and not letting him know there's someone who wants to be killed by a few bullets. Magazines get empty within seconds, and you're busy by relaoding while hiding. Gameplay is interrupted. Both, sooner or later is frustrating and, in my case, I'll rather leave the server. Indeed there are a coulple of players, who "know a little more" than others. Some use bindings like fastreload and / or fastshot. Some use glitsches o bugs to get advantage. Some seem to use a grapic cheat, since they're able to see (and shot) at an ants poop on the screen. Only if colors are changed de to that grafic hack, you can see people in those places. Sometimes I wonder, if admins / mods can't see, or don't know about those possibilities, or if they're too busy by their own gameplay. Sometimes I also miss the balancing on the server. In my opinion this should also be part of an admins / mods job if available.

8 pm during the week is unfortunately too late for me, since here in Germany it would start at 2 am... And I have to work on saturday. On saturday (evening), I'd like to join a team.
