  1. I ran a BBS back in the days.... TriBBS system, two lines at 56k....
  2. Thanks Loader...
  3. Bait and switch. The add says that they don't have this card plus it's $300 less than sites that do have them. I think you would have a hard time getting your money back.
  4. One thing I did do is buy Start 11 to get back to more of a Win 10 menu and taskbar. Can't stand the Win 11 look. Haven't had any problems With Start 11 being added.

Haven't had any problems except it takes too many bullets to freeze Sally.
  6. That was some deep shit.....

    Win 11

Been using Win11 for a few months now. Installed , roll back, installed again so I could check out The "Start 11" taskbar addon. Liked Start 11 so kept running it. This is what my taskbar and start menu looks like now. Not quite Win 10, but close...
  8. And if the port is black then it's just USB2. With that said I have USB 2 Flash drives that have a faster average "write speed" that some USB 3 drives.
  9. Glad to help. How about a Reputation boost....
  10. Which password? Just the Win10 logon? Here follow the instructions and hack your computer.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBFAzK9mgNI

    Internet.

"I have two ethernet sockets in the wall in my room." Sounds like you need Sally's wall-hack. But do hope you get it straightened out.
  12. I gave up on Realtek on board sound when playing COD. I got a ROCCAT Juke - Virtual 7.1 Plus USB and just plug it in when I use my headset. $20 and problems solved.
  13. The first thing we need to know is why doesn't your system meet the Win11 requirements? Is UEFI, Secure Boot capable, the CPU or Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0? I guessing your memory and GPU are ok. If it's TPM that might be fixed if you can just activate it in your bios. Same with Secure Boot, but you need a Gpart formatted boot drive not one that is MBR if I remember right.
  14. Heal up and get on back. I miss your singing......

    Win 11

Took that R7 2700x that I replaced with the 5800x, gutted the old FX 8350 and and built another AM4 system. The gpu is still the old 1050ti but at least I have a gpu. Shoved Win11 on it with no install problems. Still don't like the start menu or the taskbar at all. Finding things it the apps, features and settings are a pain because I don't know just where to go. But good old control panel saves the day for now. I did install Stardock's Start 11. It's not perfect but much better than Win11 has to offer. Performance testing to come later.
  16. It's a proprietary Dell with a small PS and not not really expandable. You can do better for the money if you look around I think. The motherboard can't be changed with anything but a Dell. The front IO ports are built on the board so the case can't be change with out losing them. No USB 3.0 header to allow you to plug in a front usb cable if you did find a case that it would fit into. Proprietary cpu cooler, and ps so no upgrade or swap there. About all you could expand is ram and hd's. Not something I would think about buying. Review of XPS Desktop
  17. Good stuff. Now if we could only get a new Windows 11.1
  18. Built my friends box with a PCI 4.0 on a X570 mobo and transfer rates, load times are damn fast. He accused me of building him a "gaming" pc. He's not a gamer, but said to make it fast....
  19. Welcome to the club Grandpa.
  20. Maybe an Idiot ,but not stupid....
  21. fbi open up, he really didn't get a pre-build. He told me that I has a $2500 limit and build something fast for him. As I couldn't get parts unless I paid scalper prices I went to Cyberpower and started selecting parts. I think he has a Corsair RM1000 ps in the thing, plus a Sabrent SB-RKTQ4-1TB as his boot drive, forget the mobo but it's running a R9 3900x and AIO cooled. He isn't a gamer but does do dome mining so he's got a RTX 3060ti. Forgot to add. It was easier for them to put this thing together and tested than drive the 200 miles round trip to find out that "Houston we have a problem."
  22. Think you missed the part about a fan blowing in the case. It's a small house fan and plenty of air flow. And I do like the hot swap. Just switched it on in my bios, connected the sata cables from the case and was good to go.
  23. Try Amazon and Newegg. In stock at both sites.
  24. I think you will find that all of us here are "XtremeIdiots" Welcome to our house and see you on the servers.
  25. The 115i is 18months years old and is top mounted. Still have the H90 that I used for 4 years as a backup. As for the case, I haven't put the side on my cases in 15 years or so. Also have a little fan blowing in on the VRM's, so np with airflow. Haven't had a "windowed" case to see the RGB stuff, but the real reason is that I'm was always testing out HD's that crashed on friends systems. Got a HOTSWAP slot on my case now to check out the sata stuff, which makes it easy these days.
