  1. Sally did it... Saw her as I was frozen in my bubble from her knife....
  2. Newegg has the RTX 2070 for $399, I have a 2070. RTX 2070 Super goes for $499. Just got to decide on how much card you want and how much you want to spend.... then go for it.
  3. Here are the Call of Duty: Warzone System Requirements (Minimum) CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300 CPU SPEED: Info RAM: 8 GB OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-Bit (1709 or later) VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon HD 7950 PIXEL SHADER: 5.0 VERTEX SHADER: 5.0 SOUND CARD: Yes FREE DISK SPACE: 90 GB DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 2048 MB Call of Duty: Warzone Recommended Requirements CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X Processor CPU SPEED: Info RAM: 12 GB OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest Service Pack) VIDEO CARD: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580 PIXEL SHADER: 5.1 VERTEX SHADER: 5.1 SOUND CARD: Yes FREE DISK SPACE: 90 GB DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 4096 MB " Fun fact: the minimum system requirements for Warzone are the same as the minimum system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare! In order to drop into the war zone with graphics settings set to Low, players will need hardware that is at least as powerful as the following. In your video card slot, your computer should have at least a GeForce GTX 670 or a Radeon HD 7950. In addition to your GPU, your CPU needs to be at or above an Intel Core i3-4340 or an AMD FX-6300. You will also need 8 GB of system RAM to enable your PC to run Warzone with passable FPS. If you want to drop into the fray of battle with your graphics settings maxed out, you will want a PC that also passes the recommended system requirements test. With only slightly over 40% of the people who tested their PCs for Modern Warfare passing the minimum requirements test, we expect significantly less than that to pass the recommended requirements for Warzone unfortunately. The gap between the minimum and recommended requirements will keep a fair amount of players from running the game on max settings. In order to max out Warzone, your computer should have at least a GeForce GTX 970 or a Radeon R9 390 for its GPU. In your CPU slot, you are looking at needing something along the lines of the Intel Core i5-2500K or the AMD Ryzen R5 1600X. Lastly, you will need 12 GB of system RAM to get up and over the recommended specs. At least these requirements aren’t nearly as crazy as the speculated specs for Doom Eternal." 4. 1660 Super or 1660 TI would be a good place to start looking. They bench about the same with the TI version being about 3% faster or so.
  5. So why are there 32/64-bit versions? Well I still have a really old Gateway Netbook 10" baby laptop that has a 32bit cpu in it. Wopping 2GB ram and a 200GB HD. Small enough to take and shove in my motorcycle's bags and take with me on those long camping/riding trips and not worry about it getting broken.
  6. Just wording of the product. What they are trying to say is that with the 32/64-bit version that you can buy is that you have the option of installing either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version. With the 64-bit version you can only install the 64-bit... Same goes for the 32-bit only version.
  7. Ok the error that you may be making is.... There's no Windows 32/64-bit, only 32 or 64-bit versions. The difference is that the 32-bit can't run 64-bit stuff as where the 64-bit can run the 32-bit stuff, as I sure you are aware of. But both don't like my old 16-bit/DOS stuff so I watch GOG to see if some of the games have been ported.
  8. What gpu are you running now Wildthing? And what hard drive are you using? If you don't have a M.2NVMe I would get the RTX 2070super and add a HP EX950 M.2 2280 2TB PCle Gen3 x4 to use as your boot drive. I'm running the 2700x and HP's 1TB version and it's damm fast... but I still can't out run Sally as she knifes me all the time.
  9. Stay away from the 3500x if I was you... " Like the 3600, it packs half a dozen Zen 2 cores that come clocked at 3.6 GHz for the base. ... The key difference is the lack of SMT (simultaneous multithreading) support for the 3500X, where the R5 3600 packs 6-cores / 12-threads, the 3500X features just 6 threads, much like the Core i5-9400F " Get the 3600 as it will do 12 threads which is much better performance. The cooler that comes with the 3600 isn't the best in the world but there are good coolers out there that are reasonable to add. Just built a 3600 system for my brother and that cpu out preforms my R7-2700x in games but is a little bit behind when it comes to video processing/converting. Here is a review with some benchmarks on the 3500x... Ryzen 5 3500x review
  10. Is this an Intel or AMD system?
  11. Try this from over at MajorGeeks.... Driver Booster 7.3.0.663 Driver Booster 7.3.0.663
  12. Try going to the Task Manager and the StartUp tab. Disable all startup items and reboot. See if it's stable. If so go back and enable 1 at a time ( or 2 or 3 if you have a bunch of them ) restart and see if it's stable. Rinse and repeat until you have have a crash. This might identify a program of driver that isn't playing nicely with your system.
  13. Evil are you running an antivirus? If so try shutting it off and see what happens. Seems your system runs when you boot to safe mode, so I think there is a program that is acting up. And is this Win10 Home or Pro?
  14. Can you get into your event viewer to see what is causing the error? Here's a long read but it might help. https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/fix-distributedcom-error-10016-windows/
  15. At least it's just your fingers, most of the time it's my brain... I'm can be such an idiot.....
  16. The info here is just a tad old but it goes over the pros and cons of a boatload of CPUs. I'm not a Intel nor AMD fanboy... I'm a bang for the buck fanboy.... https://www.pcgamesn.com/best-cpu-for-gaming-2019
  17. The last two gens of AMD's run a lot cooler than the older ones. The RYZEN 7 3700X now only draws 65w max as compared to the old FX 8350 125 watts. Amd has come a long way in the past two years.
  18. Best bang for the buck all around cpu's.... Amd Ryzen. A R7 3700x or better will hold you for years. AMD X570 chipset Mobo. The ASUS AMD AM4 ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, WiFi 6, 2.5Gbps LAN, Dual M.2, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2 has nice features, but pricy. Start with 16gb of DDR4 3200 or better get 32gb. Water cool the thing and what ever video card that you like. RTX 2070 super works for me. Add a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 NVMe ssd and a bluray burner and a 750w to 800w PS and you should be good to go. Of course this is my Top Tier with my budget I would have to scale back a bit on things. An Intel build would give you a few more FPS in some games but for video processing and multi-tasking AMD is looking at Intel in the rear view mirror. JMHO and I could be wrong....
  19. You have people that you meet on the net then you have people that you meet that become friends. Dadda was a friend that was at top of my list. Sir, you will be sorely missed. RIP
  20. Glad that it wasn't worse. My bike accident crushed my right elbow and broke my left ankle. Be safe out there...
  21. Got that right Smeg. Plus the GTX 970 runs faster than a RX 570 and neck and neck with the RX 580 in games. Even with today's AAA titles it still does a good job at 1080p. In BF V 1080p and Ultra settings it benches at 60+ fps. Not bad for this old war horse.
  22. Got to tell the truth there Smeg... Nvidia got sued cause the 970 only runs 3.5 GB Vram at full speed, the last .5 is much slower. I know cause they paid me $30 for the one I bought .... But the 970 is still a really good gaming card.
