    G-Sync?

I have a 144hz monitor and a RTX2070 running the DP cable. Could do the G-Sync but bench testing shows it just drops the GPU performance, so have it turned off.
  5. Welcome aboard Yoshi, I mean Yoshi>XI<....

    Power supply

The 10 pin connection on the PS is for a proprietary motherboard main power connection. MB makers do this so you have to buy "their" stuff. Dell is bad about this. That being said don't use it unless your MOBO calls for it. For your "12" pin connection on the gpu you will use 2 cables. They will be the "6+2" cables but just use the 6 part of each cable to connect to the gpu. The other end having "8" connectors plug in to any of the "CPU/PCI-E" connections of your PS. Hope this helps. Knowing what MOBO you are using would help us a lot.
  7. I was on a roll....up to 1.....
  8. Dang near dinged a young German sailor at Nordholz Naval Airbase, Germany back in the late 70's with the main rotor of my OH-58A. I landed to refuel and he got really close to the rotor disk as I was shutting down. Once I stopped rotating I showed him that he no clearance at all as the blades flap at slow speed a lot.
  9. Don't think that this is really radar but "transponder" output from the aircraft. Radar wouldn't show all the aircraft taxiing around the airports getting ready for takeoff or after landing. Most of the time I'm squawking 7700....
  10. Been there, done that, got a patch...
  11. Almost 24 hrs after the second shot. Arm is just a bit sore, not much. Hurts about the same as when Sally knifes my ass in FT1.
  12. Get my second today, Moderna , let you know how it goes....
  13. I use Total Commander to do everything . Move, copy, rename, delete files, zip\unzip and just about the best replacement for file explorer you can find. https://www.ghisler.com/

  16. Normally happens around 6pm my time... So I bail to eat. Some things are more important than getting frozen by you idiots.
  17. Best thing to have is a good backup that can be restored from a recovery disk. Windows 10 has a backup built in but never used it as I find it a bit lacking in features. I use Acronis, but there are free backup programs out there. The down side is that you need enough HD space to hold your backup, but with a 5TB usb external drive running at about $100-125 these days it's well worth having. Just make sure that the backup is some what recent if you don't have it running on a scheduled time.
  18. Welcome Dray , please try not to shoot me too much.
  19. Good find Weed. I've moved Steam and Origin games before, but your link covers just about all the sites.
  20. Two questions. 1. Are these Steam games? Steam games can be transferred to any drive. 2. Are the pictures just things that you collected over the years? Pictures can be moved to just about anywhere and can still be accessed. A 5tb USB 3 portable drive can be had on Amazon for $100-110 or so. Transferring the pics to USB drive means that you could take all 54,963 pics of your Grandkids to the next XI Fest.
  21. Check these numbers out... Raw Power!!! A 2009 Gateway LT2016u.

  23. I've looked over these post many times but I can't seem to find your shop name.
  24. There are a bunch of power supply calculator web sites that you can go to and it will ask what things your system has or will have it in. Then it gives a recommendation of what size you need. I've used them, take a average and then add 200 watts or so for future upgrades. https://seasonic.com/wattage-calculator
  25. According to MS this is from a crack or patch file being used to activate a MS program. Without knowing where Defender is pointing to we are just guessing what program is being affected. Of course it just could be a false positive also. I have MS's antivirus stuff turned off as there is, I feel, better free programs out there. Option 1: Look in your control panel - Programs and Features and see if there is a AutoKMS listed. If so uninstall it. But I don't know what it is trying to activate so something might not work after doing this. Option 2: Dump Windows Security and use a different AV solution. https://windowsreport.com/autokms-malware/
