  1. I wonder if that is how they are named in the early versions of scripts. So-and-so as 'the pervy general'
  2. Things to look out for: health/ammo packs. The shop and perks. Weapon ammo. All should start with %150 normal of mag and reserve. Maxammo perk, %200. Note that buying the maxammo perk doesnt automatically fill your weapons. That way you dont pay extra for something you might not need. sentrygun and all placed items in general. Zombie behavior. Zombies behave like zombies. They do not just automatically spawn and go after you from the other side of the map. They are not alert when they spawn and will search the map. They will watch and listen for weapon fire. The more you fire the more alert they become. They will also follow other zombies that are alerted. If you can dodge them long enough without being seen, and not firing your weapon, they will lose track of you. As always, lag. Important to know under what circumstances it happens and what is going on at the time. Knowing that will help pinpoint the problem. The meatgrinder: Individual zombies have a stuck tolerance during the game. Also, if this happens they dont suicide and increase the kill count. They will respawn. The normal meatgrinder is still there as the fallback in case zombies cant be reached but arent actually stuck. known issues: Wrong models for a couple weapons. Let me know which ones if you see. Some animations not working properly yet. Dogs dont always jump so watch out for them at your feet. Zombies running through walls. Its mostly how waypoints are laid out on certain maps with close waypoints in between walls. I know the problem and the fix will depend on whether or not it hurts efficiency. On some maps the minimap, even tho there is no actual ground image, has an extremely short distance. Air support locator wont target properly since zombies are out of range. some keybinds are using placeholders. Projectile weapons sometimes pass through the large bald zombie on the upper torso. Not sure why yet. Specials dont yet work.
  3. Yup that one was in the AF lovefest movie with James Stewart. The B70 was 1.5 billion, in those days, for two planes. 2 billion on the A12, for none. Many more examples. And depending on who you ask, some people say the F35 is the worst blunder of them all.
  4. If you want me to test it out with the mod let me know.
  5. Was it on round changes or something? Remember what error you got on the screen?
  6. Too many custom xmodels. So if it can be remade with some taken out it might work. There are also tricks that can be used to get around that. Dont know myself but it is something to ask on a mappers site. I kinda remember something about putting custom xmodels into prefabs helping. But I could be wrong.
  7. Changing map rotations also means re-uploading all the maps again to the server since it can only hold something like 30 at a time. So dadda does that for every cod2/4/5 server with weekly rotations already. A very big job to keep track of all that. Stock maps that dont work due to asset limits: broadcast, citystreets/district, crossfire Havent tried it yet but there is a custom version of crossfire that took out a lot of unneeded stuff to make it work for bigger mods.
  8. Ah yea that one. There is a nighttime version as well.
  9. He's not dead. He's resting.
  10. Isnt that like an actor being proud of himself for winning a Razzie?
  11. No no no no! Blasphemy! There are some things one simply do not show!
  12. I remember her on DS9. Great character.
  13. Is that DayZ standalone still in progress?
  14. Arg. Well I thought that was fixed. Thanks for testing it out.
  15. Maybe the server move was still working out the kinks.
  16. You did the pwd? Letting me in just fine. gungame server. Did that. afaik its still there. Low grav. Cant say I cared for that one. Trust me I know very well how difficult it is to get people to do other mods. Wrote up two or three other gametypes for servers here and nobody wanted to play. Made up a cod4 version of Rush from BF and it worked pretty well. First test used a BF3 map. Three bombsites. Tickets. Respawning near teammates. All of that good stuff. But nobody was interested when it was online so I didnt continue development on it. But I figure there are enough that like playing zombies it might work. If I can make it all work properly I want to add a player controlled Hell Zombie until shot and resurrected as a new survivor. Sorta worked as a quickie hack but the animations were wrong. For that to work however, also need to figure out a way to encourage players to attack as zombies and not just run around. If players need to be encouraged that is.
  17. Just the way the game works. Things like cookable flashbangs were not something they added.

    COD WWII

It could look nice and be really fun for SP but in the long run its all MP gameplay for me. However if for example its limited to 18 players again, meaning squad vs squad in CQ maps (which is what their target audience wants), then cod5 will still be the standard. Sure it looks dated without all the neato fx but its all the fun factor. But for that setting it should allow for at least 30 players if not more. Kinda doubt it but maybe this one would generate interest in cod5 again both from a player and developer standpoint. If its just about the gameplay, are there mods for it that do everything you want. Do the maps?
  19. Only 18? Kinda figured that.
  20. Can a complete mod be made and not just making MP maps for the included gametypes? Been a long time since I looked at it all and, at the time, they didnt release what was needed to make a mod. Mostly zombie maps.
  21. We need dedicated 'happy birthday' shoutbox.
  22. And others demand the no sway. So its a catch-22. edit: Forgot to add, the best real sniper severs I ever played are UT2K4. Loved the translocator and all the teleporters made for great games. The entire map was an open field for every player. The unpredictability really pushed the need for skill on how to search in big environments. Would never work for those with ADD.
  23. Havent played sniper games consistently in a long time but it makes a difference if its a big map. Even with only a few players. Otherwise in small maps most people tend to go to the same spots over and over. Making it that much easier for the good folks. I also dont like the no-cross mirror maps. There is no chance an enemy that respawned to your side, instead of right in front of you, might pick you off or even sneak up on you to get a clean shot.
  24. Yup. Dont screw with Kermit. They never did find the body of Miss Piggy.
