  1. And those pasty legs! Ugh!
  2. Stick with name brand memory, as you have with the Corsair, but consider CAS9 instead of 10. 9 is faster. Didn't see a power supply. Thankfully, the newest graphic cards are consuming quite a bit less power to do twice the job. 800W minimum, I would say. 1000W is the high end. Ignore all the NVIDIA nay-sayers. NVIDIA cards are AWESOME.
  3. Her tits have got to be scorched after spraying all the lead!
  4. LOL - Complete circle jerk!
  5. Corollary conclusion -- because after all, this happened in Arizona -- so we are talking about TITHEAD, are we not?
  6. Congrats P!nk - Miss November! (We need to make a calendar, Rugger.)
  7. I have a Pur filter on my kitchen tap, and run that into a Britta pitcher, so it's double filtered by two different manufacturer's filters. The water here is very hard. On its own it tastes mildly bad, but not horrible. East-side Madison water was worse. I generally don't detect a bad smell or chlorine in our water, but I did around the last time they reported slightly elevated, but still safe, biological contamination. The double filtration cut through that and left the water tasting nice. I do think charcoal filtering imparts a pleasant taste to the water. I love the first few pitchers of water right after replacing the filters. That new filter taste does fade after about a week or so, and I replace the filters about every 2 months.
  8. They already do - been to a gas station lately?
  9. I'm so sorry. I just can't imagine. You were strong for her, now you must be strong for you. I'm sure that doesn't seem fair. My prayers for you.
  10. Quite a story, Dean. Stay strong. I'm so glad you're being looked after now.
  11. Happy Birthday, Tom!
  12. Wouldn't it help their GDP to export some of this stuff? I've never seen most of it. Excellent ideas, though.
  13. 331.65 is current. Update again. Perhaps they had an unforeseen issue they corrected right away. No problems here on 331.65.
  14. LMAO @DEEJAYKEG On that note, I'll weigh in with Terry Redlin.
  15. Georgia. That's interesting. Don't really believe the test, though. Not when it leads with Wisconsin being the most extroverted state. I live in Wisconsin and I can tell you that's a complete crock!
  16. Well, this one came to mind. Not sure why...
  17. Wait. A hatch? Isn't that how Lost started? (God I miss Evangeline Lilly!)
  18. Yeah, I was the admin in game with you this evening. You called out another player on his gaming style, in particular shooting through walls. I noted that there was nothing technically wrong with that strategy. As a matter of fact, there is a pre-game tip built right into the game that speaks of different materials and being able to shoot through them. We all laugh at (or lament over) certain of those materials, like leaves, that seem impervious to heavy caliber rounds in some of the maps, but the long and short of it is, shooting through things to kill others is certainly allowed. I've made many a kill shooting up through a floor or through a wall because I was certain there was someone up/over there. Sometimes it pays off, other times not. The map we were in this evening was a "kill house" map, or others might call it a "meat grinder." It was the one with nothing but cargo containers in a small enclosed yard for those who are reading this and weren't there in person. Anyway, it's a small, target rich environment and shooting through a container wall has a pretty high probability of hitting someone. Not a strategy I would personally choose, but I saw the same person you commented on doing precisely that. Whatever. But here's the thing, you made a snarky comment, and rather than warning you not to be criticizing that person's style of game play - for which we have a specific rule against - I simply noted shooting through walls was not disallowed. But here's where it got icky for me, you replied with something like, "Yeah, well it's all being recorded." To which I noted that if you had a problem with a certain player, you need to bring it to the attention of an admin, which I also noted was me at that point in time. As you said you were only recording your own game play, I let it go and let it be at that point. Nevertheless, it still felt "icky" to me. Now comes this post from you. I'm sorry if you've battled with gaming addictions in the past or in the present. It sounds like you want to play in an honorable manner, but it also sounds like you get quite engrossed in the competitive ambiance of the whole thing. I respect and commend you for your comment about taking a step back and remembering it's all just a game. Others will play as they choose, and we all have our individual styles of play. Some styles may not enjoyed by some others, but that notwithstanding, it surprises me when some players take such exception to another that they walk away when that person comes into the server. Sorry, but this isn't Second Grade; we are adults and can make adult decisions. Now you may not take it to that extreme, and I'm not one to evaluate whether you have a game addiction problem. What I can tell you is that it's your choice to be in the games on XI servers or any one else's servers around the internet. An even keel is appreciated by all players and admins alike. And the latter are there to ensure the servers are being enjoyed by all who enter. When you believe something isn't right, we are there to moderate, mediate, or just plain kick some moron in the ass who is not "getting it." Making passive-aggressive commentary about other players is only likely to bring about a festering sense of poor sportsmanship among all those playing with you. I'd suggest against that. Instead, come to the Admin team and let us do our job - even if that means you get told there's nothing out of sorts with another player or their style of gaming. See you in the maps.
  19. Oh hell yeah! Totally jealous. Awesome pics.
  20. 3rd generation i5 is pretty weak. Also, you need to check your video slots to see if they are PCIe 3.0 slots. Yours may be 2.0 or 2.1, and although the 3.0 cards will work in the 2.x slots (reportedly without all that much of a penalty,) it's worthwhile determining whether it's time to upgrade the card, or the whole system.
  21. The deeper I went into the under culture of teenage wasteland, Lou Reed was there. Sweet Jane is every bit, and perhaps more iconic to me than Stairway to Heaven and Free Bird. Rock on in the afterlife, Lou, and thanks for the many fine highs.
  22. Frightening!
  23. Cool idea, and I see you put the XI Gallery to good use - not just for wallpapers.
  24. I guess you can't attach the full sized file. Sorry about that. Stupid forum software. It's pretty cool at 1080p.
