Guess what I did? I said the perps got my Social Security number, I meant to say SIN Social Insurance Number. I’m Canadian and the SIN is what they got. I do have a LEGAL Social Security number but won’t explain that here.

In my case I never had a computer back in 2002, never bought on line but these folks got a hold of my Social Security number some how and used that to apply for the 2 credit cards. They changed my address to somewhere in upper Canada. I have no PROOF but several months before this happened an Investment Company had several of their Computers stolen containing personal information from several thousand people. Although I did not invest with these people I did give them all my personal information so they could draw up an investment portfolio for my wife and I. Maybe it's a coincident but some piece of SHIT got my info and used it. In Canada we have 2 Credit Bureaus that totally control everyone's credit rating. These Bureaus are the folks who say yea or nae on all applications for credit in Canada. If you apply for loans, montages, or credit of any kind these people have to OK it. TransUnion and Equifax are the names. One of these is also used in the USA. These guys set your Credit Score and Credit Rating. My Advice is GUARD your credit with everything you got! Everyone should check your credit rating in these places every several years to keep an eye on SUSPICIOUS activity being done in your name. Good luck

Wow, in 2002 someone stole my identity. They got a $3000 credit card, charged it up payed it off then the bank increased the credit limit to $10,000. They then charged over $7000. until the bank stopped the card. I was on the phone 6 hours the first day canceling and protecting everything I had. They actually got a second card but couldn't use it. Twelve years later they tried something again but couldn't get anything. I protected my credit rating and no one is allowed to apply for credit in my name without a picture ID and in person. Scary stuff.

So sad and really 72 is young in today’s world. My deepest sympathies to you and your families. Wayne

Wonder if anyone else has this problem and can help? I can no longer post topics from my iPad containing pictures. The message I got was Safari HAD TOO MANY REDIRECTS Any ideas? I now have to email my pictures from iPad to my pic just to post. Wayne

Last Friday I decided to take my white bread recipe and change it up. I used brown sugar to prof the yeast and molasses instead of regular sugar. I added 2 cups of 7 grain cereal and 1/2 cup of raisins. I increased the water in the recipe to allow for the grains. Very happy with the results.

They’ll be fine. Soon enough they’ll be destroying us in our own servers. There will always be someone younger better and faster. I presume they will be at the top of the scoreboard soon enough.

Everything I posted is very specific to certain individuals. If you have two incomes and two pensions in the household it is VERY UNLIKELY you will qualify for the OAS Supplement. The single best thing to do is MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD INVESTOR! The investor you pick should have your best interest as they're number 1 priority. Too many investors have greed in their eyes and look at their clients as a BIG PAYCHECK. You as a client need to remember this, the MONEY YOU ARE INVESTING IS YOUR MONEY! The investor needs to understand this from day 1. You have right to fully understand what the Financial Institute and investor are making in the way of fees. If the investor can't explain everything to you clearly then walk away. You also must investigate everything they tell you and you must fully understand the risks. If you don't understand then lock your money up in a safe place like GIC's until you understand what you are investing in. Too many people have been duped into bad investments.

Just to add about the TFSA everyone is limited to the amount they can put in per year since it’s inception. That amount today if you turned 18 in 2009 or before and did not invest any previous amount you could invest a max of $75,000 in one lump sum in 2021. I only wish I had it lol!

Yes you are correct in order to take advantage of the RRSP you need to make a descent wage. The single best thing to do in order to take advantage of the OAS SUPPLEMENT is to RETIRE EARLY BEFORE 65! Withdraw as much of that RRSP as you can for several years before 65. If you do it that way you can take out $42,000 for you and $42,000 for your wife at 24.68% tax. Take as much of that as you can and invest it in TFSA Tax Free Saving Account. Now you have a nest egg. Then after 65 only take out enough money from your RRSP to qualify for the OAS supplement!. As you need more $$ through the year take from the TFSA. TFSA the tax has already been paid at the lower rate of 24.68%.
