Crusher got a reaction from 7Toes in This happened last week during the cold freeze
LOL, As you can see, where the policeman is standing in the second pic is the left lane. The passing lane. It was a sheet of ice. Dumbass driver took a chance and failed.
There was diesel on the ground (Hazmat) called. D.O.T. showed up to assess the  condition of the highway, 2 tow trucks showed up, but only 1 was used. There were sparks from a battery cable that was shorting out and everyone was worried about something catching fire...
I got paid   , just was a long days drive.

Crusher got a reaction from spinpuppy in This happened last week during the cold freeze
Was on a 1200 mile drive through Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and back to Ann Arbor Michigan. -6 Degrees F.
I was driving on I-94 towards Indiana and was just passing through Kalamazoo MI. I noticed my Toyota CH-R start to get a little squirrely on the road, so I slowed a bit the moved from the left lane to the middle lane.
This Semi- truck decided to pass me... Well, about 1/2 mile down the road, he fishtailed and ended up like this in front of me. He dumped about 40 gallons of diesel and caught on fire for about 30 seconds (but extinguished by itself).
Closed the highway for about 3.5 hours. This happened at 11:30am EST. We reached our destination (Lafayette Indiana) at 9:30pm. Such a long day.

    Hey there BlackRose,
Need? Do we really need anything?
    I purchased these firearms because:
    1. To protect my family.
    2. To teach my children how to be responsible with and around firearms.
    3. My children love to go shooting.
    4. I wanted to own a piece of history. (And thinking that my rifle could have been on the battlefield spilling blood!)
    5. Holding that Springfield M1 Garand, gives me a whole new respect for the soldiers that carried that rifle into battle.
Here is the little 22lr that my girls shoot. Looks like an AR... It is a Smith and Wesson AR15-22.
And my new Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum with 500 rounds. What a blast to shoot!

I have not had the chance to shoot them yet as I am in Boston this week.
off to Hawaii on 11/11/18 for a week next. Then, I will be off for vacation 1.5 months.
I should be able to squeeze a few rounds off by then.
Elvis, the stock has been replaced (not original), but it is gorgeous.
I think I may have a case made to display this one....

Damn, sorry I missed XI fest, by having to make an emergency trip to Indiana and then to Texas a week later and then Maryland a week after that, but....
All the OT allowed me to pick up 2 beautiful firearms!
The fist is a Panzer Arms bullpup 12 gauge shotgun. Came with cleaning kit, sights and 2-5 round magazines.
The second is an absolutely beautiful Springfield Armory M1 Garand. (maunfactured January 1943).
Hated to miss the fest, but allowed me to obtain 2 fantastic firearms.
