http://www.techspot.com/news/45129-catalyst-118-delivers-20-performance-boost-in-black-ops-more.html

Performance-wise, 11.8 grants Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 series owners a 10% boost when playing Crysis 2 in DirectX 11 with anti-aliasing enabled and disabled. You'll also get up to 8% more frames when running F.E.A.R. 3 with DX11 and AA enabled, up to 20% in Call of Duty: Black Ops for both single and multi-GPU configurations, and as much as 30% more performance when AMD's morphological anti-aliasing (MLAA) is enabled through the CCC.

BTW, a 10% to 20% boost with a new driver is HUGE!

ATI/AMD card owners, please try this and report back!!!

I don't use ATI cards at the moment (well they're AMD cards nowadays), but a lot of our members do, so share the news!!!!!!!!

Yea,

That might be a crock, but with a claim of up to 20%, if that reveals true, it's like transforming  a 4870 into a 4890, or a 5770 into a 5830...lol

Also, the driver claims to help the Crossfire users....which is nice. Let's see how it pans out for you folks!

My two 5870's in crossfire see no appreciable difference between 11.7 and 11.8.  Oh well, as the old saying goes.. If it sounds too good to be true...... it probably is.

Thanks anyway!!!!!
