I have literally spent hours trying dozens of different ways to get my controller to even be recognised by BF3. I have searched many many forums and devsites and tried many very valid solutions that have worked for others, but the game still won't even see my controller. I'm pulling my hair out.. I want to fly jets but that's basically impossible to do with a mouse.

Yall know anyone who has gotten their's to work? I'm really going to just give up I think.

It's very disapointing that they would have such poor support for game controllers. I am disapoint! lol

Not to mention that it's the only game or program that frequently gives my computer the blue screen.

It may be your PC setup & not the game or controller.

The Belkin/Nostromo controller I use assigns regular ASCII letters (identical to keyboard keys - like A,S,D,W, spacebar, etc) to controller keys.

Make sure that your PC is recognizing the controller first, then (assumably) you should be able to map out the keys or inputs accordingly in your BF3 game setup.

I'm no expert, but hope this helps.

Well, thing is, it works just fine for other games. Also, it's properly installed and calibrated.

When I said I tried a lot of things, I meant it. Some of them very advanced, like emulators changing Xinput to Direct Input and vice versa. Also, of of them was to emulated it like an Xbox 360 controller.

If the video is useless to you, JoyToKey software might be an alternative for you....

http://download.cnet.com/JoyToKey/3000-2094_4-75220348.html

JoyToKey enables you to control most softwares (e.g. web games, browsers, office applications or even Windows itself) by using your favorite windows joystick. Whenever you press joystick buttons and sticks, JoyToKey will convert the joystick input into keyboard strokes or mouse movements so that the target application works as if you used a real keyboard or mouse.

Don't know if this will help you or not, but just added it anyway.  Good luck hope you get it working Smile

I actually finaly just got a good setup working with my gamepad. I used GlovePie to custom route the input from the gamepad to the keyboard and mouse. I even did some nice pulse-width-modulation work to the yall since that's not analog on the keyboard. It makes it emulate analog... works nice too.

And yea, of course it's a crappy controller... it was like $20 two years ago.. so what.. It still works, so I'm not gonna spend any money on a new one... I'm a poor college student.
