I am a huge burger fan... i guess a pot thing. But if you have a Five Guys in your area... check them out. They have a great burger and they are exploding all over the place. Well east coast but now in texas. Not sure where else. Great burger by far and fresh cut potatoes. Free peanuts. My old time favorite is Checkers Burgers. Ryan's bought them out and the burgers got way smaller. Like a dollar menu size. Not like I remember in Baltimore MD. Has one in Houston but she shut down. <sniff sniff> Price of change. As for the hole in the walls... have had many just like ones i can revisit the most The worst burger I have had was the burger i could not have. Mule 1

Have not tried them yet though, I have other favorite spots. hxtr 1

Save some cash, take a little time and make your own...here's how you do it: Buy several pounds of hamburger - 85/15% fat content Each burger should be 1/2 pound or it's not a proper burger! Spread out the hamburger on a cookie sheet and season liberally with your favorite seasonings - I use salt, pepper, small dash of olive oil and smoked paprika Loosly form patties and start grill with chunk of hickory on it - should set at about 225 degrees. Once smoked on a 225 grill for 15 minutes each side, crank the heat all the way and grill for 3 to 5 minutes each side with the top of the grill open Cook to your likeness - I prefer burgers somewhere between medium rare and medium You'll never have a better burger. IMPORTANT - NEVER smash or push down your burger, you are letting all of the juices out of the burger!!!! Hemps, Bogleg and StormCrow 3

But having said that, at least here on the west coast the best burger chain restaurant in my opinion is In & Out Burger. I've tried 5 Guys and think there is simply no comparison, but like I said neither of them holds a candle to what I make myself. The Flush 1 Awards

If you get the large it almost fills the entire sack. They are so damn good though. I love a good burger on the grill for sure. Really is hard to beat anything homemade. I made some Beef Stroganoff last night or is it strokingoff lol and it came out great. I dont eat out as much as I used to. Fast food is just pure crap and I don't like going to restaurants like I use to. Unlike before I enjoy cooking very much now. I dont even mind the cleanup. Guess it has become a kind of therapy for me. Edited January 8, 2013 by hxtr

They had the best burgers for miles, you could taste it in the steam coming off it. Sadly, she passed away, and it's just not as good anymore.
