The breader says she wil be 65-70 pounds. I hope so, i'd even like her to be 75. She is a from Field trial stock shich tend to be lighter and faster and hopefully long legged. May she not be gun shy and have a soft mouth. Blacks make the best duck retrievers. I used my yellows for pheasant. Kind of gave up duck hunting years ago, but still love pheasant and quail hunting. Loved the pointing dogs. Had to put my last one down in May, sad day. Taling about Phesants, I was lucky enough to travel to Iowa 5 times to hunt phesants with friends. Nothing like it and my last dog really worked those fields well. I'll miss that. I have been doing more waterfowl hunting lately. So trying a Lab. She is some smart for a puppy.
