Tonight I turn my PC on and the monitor says check cable, then going to sleep. I have changed the HDMI Cable, but nothing, the only way to get a picture is to put the old monitor cable in ? I have tried rolling back drivers - no joy I have tried a system restore - no joy When I plug the HDMI Lead into the video card the PC makes the usual noise as if its found new hardware but no picture HELP ME PLEASE Awards

Did I get that right? Have you tried to switch the input sources of your screen? Try to change it to HDMI only or auto detect. If the source is ok: does the HDMI output work when you start your PC? If yes: in Windows safe mode too?? (press F8 during Windows startup) Greetz Tec|-| *via iphone* Edited January 8, 2013 by TecHnOBoY loaderXI 1 Awards

I like Technoboy's idea of taking it out of auto and forcing it to HDMI. Do you have a TV with HDMI in? If so, connect your pc to it. If you get a pic, then your HDMI in on your monitor is probably bad. If not, its your HDMI out on your vid card. loaderXI 1 Awards

When you did a system restore, how far back did you go? Before 12/29? Also, do you happen to have a hdmi to dvi convertor? If so, you could use the hdmi out on your card to dvi in on the monitor. If it works it means the hdmi in on the monitor could be bad. Awards
