so many of us sit around and put on the weight at our computors ,I think we should help and inspire one another to live longer healthier  lives-

we could be that support group for one another to lose/ drop those pounds and figure out what works to keep it off and stay healthy-if ya  think its a good idea then I would contribute

I just started doing crossfit - and switched to a paleo diet about a month ago (with the notable exception that I am still drinking bourbon).

Once upon a time, some of us played our Wii games and watched each other via Oovoo. Not sure if it was healthy but it sure was hilarious!

you being a hunter I think paleo will work out for ya  since you already crave the meat side of it-as long as you enjoy salalds and veggies too.

Ive been on a not so strict paleo 9 months and its great.I was strict the first 3 months working out every day and 50 lbs came off.winter is a beast here in illinois like in wisconsin so ive just maintained it with bouts depression and  drinking too much and loseing the little I  gained  now working out again. So now Im getting ready to lose another 30lbs  ..my goal to run a 5k this year with this sore knee..

If you haven't I recommend looking into the Couch to 5K program.  There is an app for your smart phone if you have one, and it's a pretty straight forward training program to achieve the 5K.

Yeah winter sucks for being active.  I can only take so much of the gym and the gym rats.

We were all in a video chat room.  There's a few games that you can actually play against each other on the Wii through an internet connection.  The exercise games don't allow you to play each other but you can watch your friends make fools of themselves trying to "exercise".  Great fun!

That's awesome man - nothing better than pushing yourself past a wall, whether self-imposed or externally imposed.  Congrats!

Regarding the paleo diet - it's actually really easy (at least for me) to stick to (except the Bourbon, damnit).  The first few days I was craving some bread and a glass of milk, just cuz of old habits.  But after a few days I stopped really even considering them as food.  My mood swings have disappeared, I never have big hunger pangs or those "fatigued" moments you get, like post lunch at work anymore.  And I am sleeping a ton better.

Workout-wise I seem to be doing okay but since I am currently in a calorie deficit I haven't knocked it out of the park every workout.  I am still playing with the numbers to find the optimal balance.  I'd really like to lose another 20 pounds and get down to 8-10% body fat.

Mostly I just want to be able to keep up with my wife. :)

I love kettlebells.  They are a core part of crossfit workouts.
