A Baja, a Checkmate (4 seater blasters back in the late 70's),  a Viking Deep V  (not the tri-hull deck boats they did), a Larson,  and now a party barge.  You know your old when you get a pontoon boat :)  Just went out Saturday for the first time and found a new fishing pole stuck to a tree while crusin the shore line.   Why the hell they didnt cut the line, I'll never know.  Brand new Shimano Open Reel.  Not a super expensive one , but hey, it works !!!

What you were playing with was neither a rubber ducky nor a boat! (see the thread on the kinkiest thing I have done with the opposite sex).

When I moved to California I was 17 and finished my senior year of high school here. I was surprised to find that instead of playing ball for PE we had sailing, and across the street from my school was San Francisco bay and a fleet of school owned Laser sail boats. I learned fast and ended up buying my first boat at 18 from the Laser factory which was right in my town. From there I had various Aluminum fishing boats mostly Gregor and Klamath. I partnered with a friend on a Bertrand 35 ft sport fisher for a few years then ended up with a Grady White. Then marriage and kids ended up taking most of my time and I got out of boats, but I'm ready to get back in as soon as possible. I miss fishing in the bay and ocean and looking forward to spending my retirement doing lots of it.

By the way TSW, I had a down payment on that same Proline boat a few years ago then ended up getting an RV instead. Biggest mistake I ever made. Never EVER listen to your wife. Their advice is really dumb. :welcome:
