The original concept was based on the classic movie, Predator. We wanted to pit a squad of marines against an alien being with advanced technologies that was capable of being a one man army. In v1, the Obscurity were seen as a cloudy puff of smoke, that emitted a static sound when moving. They could freeze position mid-jump and had a rifle that could switch positions with the target. There was also plenty of gore and locational damage, along with night maps. This provided the foundations for the mod, which we have since expanded into a full blown total conversion of the multiplayer componant of COD4. Here is a video showing you some gameplay Server name - >XI< OBSCURITY IP - 66.55.142.74 Port - 28930 - make note of the port Awards

VERY low ping for me: always under 30!! AMAZING! Spears (NICE avatar, btw!): You may want to read this thread by the developers of the mod: << LINK-y >> In short: this mod has a LOT built into it, so much so that it's almost overfilled (overflowing? ). There's only so much you can do to eliminate these timeouts. For starters, you can try opening the console in COD4 by hitting your ~ (tilda) key and entering:/cl_maxpackets 100 Hope this helps some.. Anyways, Rugger and the rest of XI, thanks again for putting up the server for us to enjoy!

The reason why you only notice it in Obscurity is because there's much more content than the unmodded game, so more chance of lag when updating. It can be "fixed" by having a good connection... and most servers are pretty good so if this is happening to you the best option is to fix your lag... unfortunately there's nothing I can do to fix it
