I recently was signed up for Medicare automatically because I qualified for disability. About a month ago I received a packet explaining the process and the different options available. I chose to go with the meds coverage option. Now the question I have is this: My coverage for Medicare does not start till October and I desperately need to see a Dr NOW! I can't afford it as I am supporting 2 other people as well. My Dr's office has a program for reduced fees but I do not want a bill hanging over my head for years to come. Will Medicare step up when it does begin and pay these bills accrued now? I need to know so I can get to my Dr> Please be frank and honest and open about this!
