Usually price and performance are very close. Then I look at which company has the best bundles. AMD has some good game bundles right now. Also you have to take into consideration each companies driver update issues. Lately nvidia has released drivers that were unstable and crashed some peoples computers. AMD on the other hand is slower about releasing updates. I run a Radeon hd 6950 2gig and that works fine for me. I'm waiting to see the next generation hardware from both companies before I get a new video card. Check this site out. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net cuteboobies and eidolonFIRE 2 Awards

I have been using AMD (ATI) Cards for the last 6 years , But that was because I got the best price per performance at the time I was buying ,, I'm using the 7970 at the moment and have no complaints about the card or drivers.. baldie and cuteboobies 2 Awards

I am running AMD HD 6950 2GB card right now as well and does what I need it to do. Again, at the time, was the best bang for my buck. For some, it is personal preference. baldie 1 Awards

I have always used Nvidia but wouldn't mind going to ATI.Nvidia has a history of getting very warm but being able to hold it anyways, ATI has a history of keeping cold but not be able to survive heat. This could have changed now. cuteboobies 1
