This is prevalent on the mobile version of the site but it is really slow. Taking up to 5 seconds to load a page and if there are images even longer.

I would have out it down to my connection, but I jumped on reddit to a sub loaded with pics and got a quick response time (maybe 0.8 seconds?).

As a double check, I restarted my router and my phone, closed all apps, disabled and re enabled WiFi etc, and still slow.

Generally the website mobile theme/version is useless. The desktop version will average 3 - 6 seconds loading time.

There are plans to upgrade to the newer version of the website platform but that is longer term.

Is there any consideration to move to a more stable platform...perhaps vbulletin?

There are no stability problems that I am aware of, only some technical problems with the mobile version.

A move to a new platform would not offer any solutions or benefits, whereas an upgrade to the next major version would.
