I have posted this in other thread but you can see how to push the memory. For example my motherboard can handle 1200 (600Mhz speed), but my Patriots are running at 1066Mhz (533 times two). So for example a Mem stick will show in CPU-Z half of the ammount but it is double. It is not a one way street for DDR's Check your mother brand site and look for the QVL list to prevent issues. I know that those Patriots what I am using is NOT on the QVL list of my motherboard, but the chips are used by other brands which match the criteria again. that link above and patriot looks great buddy and not that expensive at all.
