You have shut down computer and go back into game. Then it will download the next map. This is hell on computer and my nerves. Even trying to kill game in task mgr. doesn't work. Please fix. As for in-game map downloads, there is nothing that can be done. At times, a download can cause the game to disconnect or in your case crash. This is a result of running custom maps and modded servers and if it occurs, will be at the time a new map loads. What you can do is... 1. Don't touch any keyboard keys when trying to download. This is one thing that can throw you an exception error and crash the game. 2. Exit server to menu, give it a couple of seconds to load the next map, then join. You'll still download but now the server has loaded the map however you should now download without issue. 3. Check the waw club discussion as others have asked.
