C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty

Or if you have the folder Call of Duty 4

drop it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

Profiles are not found on the game's folder directory. Instead COD4x saves them in the AppData folder inside a separate folder named CallofDuty4MW.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\CallofDuty4MW

Now AppData is a "hidden folder" so you manually have to type it above.

Take the whole CallofDuty4MW folder from your previous pc and put in into the same directory on your new one after having installed the game.

(I'm typing this out of memory but the path should be similar)

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\CallofDuty4MW

No its still cod4. cod4x is the community patch that allows you to play on servers like XI. If you look down on the right side after oppening the game you will see the patch name and version.

I've had the same problem as you and solved it that way.

It is for everyone but it doesn't save the progress of modded servers. I think all it does now is it saves campaign progress.

Your previous pc as well? Hmm i dont know how to help you in that case but i'd recommend you use the cod4x patch in the future as it gives a smoother experience.
