Its size & shape accommodated the size of my hand like no other mouse. Its tracking & polling rate(s) all I knew for those 15 years. Sadly, last year it died. I tried several mice, but none measured up. I was bereft. Then, last week, a hope was promised A replacement cord! Could this work?! Would this restore my Precious, sitting on a shelf for the past year? I had to try! After an hour of careful disassembly, cleaning & rebuilding, the moment of truth was upon me; all that remained was to plug her in. As I came back around the desk, I took her in my hand & - holding back emotion - turned her over to meet my truth. SHE LIVES!!! The Eye glows again!!! ALanHim and Painsponge 2 Awards

Yesterday I resurrected these bad boys model HXTR-1970-4-20. Really they're 1970-4-05's but I prefer the 1970-4-20's name better and zero difference. These HXTR's have been hacking away at life for 54 for years and still going strong. They've been through hell and back and they go visit hell throughout the year bringing home presents like Arthritis and other hand related issues. It'd take me a while to go over all the damage occurred over the years but I have more scars than I can count each on each hand having a stupid story for each. For instance.. see that right thumb... it came off. The scare is on the other side is pretty cool. It came off like a banana top with the bone at the first knuckle broke through the skin but didn't breaking the bone or hurt my tendons. It was think I realized we are Tinker Toys. It ripped off the knuckle and I had to have a doc put back in place and sow it up. Cool scar... kind of cool memory. I just said, "shit I can't fix this myself" when it happened. I will show you the scar later when better light. See that crazy middle knuckle? It's been broken so many times but man is it strong. Back in the day if I got drunk and then pissed, some how it would put itself through windshields, walls and more. But only when I was mad. Otherwise they're mostly peaceful hands. As far as gaming... these things are hacks. Not sure where it comes from but at times... they're unstoppable. If I can just let them do their thing and not get distracted pain, pretty things in game, laughter, or think about what I was doing 10 years ago while playing... then they're truly bad ass. I tested them out in game yesterday and I was impress that they still have the aiming skills and movement skill to make any woman happy for hours. Painsponge 1

I like how they fit my hand. The newer mice are all sorts of funky shaped. I'm not a fan of the Razor mice and that fucking annoying bloatware filled Razor software that kept trying to install pretty much every time I turned my PC on. I have a Razer basilisk 2 but It doesn't fit my hand very well and truthfully it feels like cheap garbage compared to the G500. ALanHim and Timmah! 2 Awards

What's ridiculous is they want $100 for a revision, not even an original! The most concerning part was prising off that green circuit board at the front. Although I could find no screws, I was worried it was somehow glued or soldered in place & that it would break when applying force. Happily, it popped off & snapped back in place. And I agree, all Logitech products I've purchased have been solid performing at a reasonable price...especially my Mx518 that's lasted 15 years. Edited July 21, 2024 by Timmah! Painsponge 1 Awards

It's always nice to bring something you got used to back to functionality. 15 years, that mouse has seen some horrible things lol. At first I thought those were dents but no, that's actually a pretty trippy color scheme. ALanHim, Timmah! and Painsponge 3 Awards
