My 9 year old grandson decided to try a stunt on his bike and it didn't quite work out. His face landed on the handle bars of his bike. LOL I swear boys are born for one reason and that is to give their moms and gammas heart attacks!!! LOL

I remember taking a turn too quickly when I was eight... ended up scraping my knee on the tarmac and erasing a quarter-sized chunk of flesh from my kneecap. Another time I sprained my ankle & rode my bike down the street, which was a hill, to my house...not being able to sufficiently brake as I approached my yard; coming in hot with a sprained ankle, hitting the ditch, flying over the handle bars, landing & tumbling kinda hard & laying there still thinking it was fun(ny). Adrenaline junkie. Grass was soft & cool, sky was a pretty blue; thought to my 8 year-old self: Fuck it, I'm not moving for a few minutes. Or, jumping off the roof with a homemade blanket parachute that didn't work for shit; or hitting a branch on the way down from falling out of a tree; fucking hurt for a couple weeks.. might've cracked a couple ribs. Never bothered to check, never told anybody. Good times.

...in about 7 months. First forty was steady; then I plateaued... I think it because of gained muscle mass that the weight loss slowed most recently. Down from 237 or so in early January, to a more reasonable 186 now. ?

At GOG.com, there are free games that all can download. I also see that they are running a special on UT GOTY. This is back from 1999. At only 1.99, that's a hell of a steal! I cannot tell you how many hours, days, weeks, months or years I played only this game. I have them all. 99, 2003, 2004, UT3 and Unreal II. Nothing wrong with kids getting a few bumps and scrapes it is how they learn ?. My 4 boys (now grown men) have had bumps scrapes and a couple of broken bones over the years. My response was always did you learn from it ? and did it kill you ? .... No well then pick your self up and dust yourself down you will be fine. ?? Obviously a little more concern was shown with the broken bones ?? but the principle is they learn to understand that shit happens and if you sit and cry about it .. it still hurts the same and brings you down. but if you get up and carry on although sore you will soon forget about it and get back to having fun ..
