Woman takes a lover home during the day whileher husband is at work. Her 9 year oldson comes home unexpectedly, he sees them and hides in the bedroom closetto watch. The woman's husbandalso comes home. She puts her lover in the closet, not realizing that thelittle boy is in there already. The little boy says,'Dark in here.' Theman says, 'Yes, it is.' Boy: 'I have a baseball.' Man: 'That's nice' Boy: 'Want to buy it?' Man: 'No, thanks.' Boy: 'My Dad's outside.' Man: 'OK, how much?' Boy: '$250' In the next few weeks, it happens again thatthe boy and the lover arein the closet together. Boy: 'Dark in here.' Man: 'Yes, it is.' Boy: 'I have a baseball glove.' The lover, remembering the last time, asks theboy, How much?' Boy: '$750' Man: 'Sold.' A few days later, the Dad says to the boy, 'Grab your glove, let'sgo outside and have a game of catch.' The boy says, 'I can't, I sold my baseball andmy glove.' The Dad asks, 'How much did you sell themfor?' Boy: ' $1,000' The Dad says, 'That's terrible to over chargeyour friends like that...that is way more than those two things cost. I'mtaking you to church, to confession.' They go to the churchand the Dad makes the little boy sit in the confessionalbooth and closes the door. The boy says, 'Dark in here.' The priest says, 'Don't startthat again; you're in my closet now.'

Shamu hackeklaus its not only because he got shoot, there are many things that make them go crazy. for an example the uk goverment reduced the money for youth-helping-project (or however u call that) for about 65%. before they had nothing and now they have even less. stupid capitalism is destroying the whole world. i bet this isnt the last riot based on a govermentsausterity. Perhaps this is also a result of a liberal society. Governments have given away so much welfare aid and assorted freebies that they come to be expected by a society not motivated to work for a living. It's well known that welfare breeds welfare and unemployment checks can breed continued unemployment. It is very easy for people to get used to living on freebies. Now when we are in a financial economic crisis just listen to the pigs squeal if their freebies are cut. They would rather tax the working class to make up for the shortage so they can continue to live on government subsistence. I understand some welfare is warranted and deserved but it is a system that is abused by the multitude contributing to the economic crisis. Someone explain to me how a person collecting welfare can turn down any low level job such as working at a MacDonalds. If a welfare recipient turns down a job or refuses to actively seek employment at the very least the minimum wage for a week should be deducted from their weekly benefits. Some people just think they are too good to sweep a floor. I believe PA unemployment benefits can be as much as $400.00 per week and last for a year. Naturally much depends on earnings before layoff. Fortunately I have not had to test those waters for many years. Shamu, I am afraid the suggestion doesn't hold water. Those appearing before the courts for offences connected with the looting are already from a wide spectrum of society including a 31 year-old full-time teaching assistant in a London primary school! Just the sort of guy one would want developing ones little children, eh?! May explain why 11 year-olds are among those now facing the courts for looting. The suggestions, however, that, somehow the government or wider society is to blame for the criminal acts of a small minority make me want to puke. It is utterly ridiculous to propose that because some youngster's youth club was closed down he's going to go on the rampage. And capitalism is not the villain here either (though I am no proponent of unfettered profit-seeking at the expense of the public, the flawed system of economics in our world doesn't cause the well-fed and the well-clothed to revolt!). There is a lack of discipline in homes and schools (failed parenting), a lack of respect for authority (gangster culture imported from across the Atlantic is embraced instead) and a lack of effective countermeasures (police hamstrung by witless politicians of all parties over the years and a justice system populated by liberal judges who are incapable of dispensing proportionate sentences). There are so many of us who would like these disturbances smashed with an iron fist but no, the useless politicians have already begun the blame game and it was the brave men and women in uniform who faced potentially mortal danger that are now being criticised! The death toll of innocent members of the public, I gather, stands at four - one shot by a gangster and three others mown down by a car - with others very badly hurt. I just hope the pendulum swings back now and society and the dimwits who run this country wake up and begin to fix things!

deerejon I dont think breeze but I do know that when I snipe if zoomed "out" you need to compensate using the hash marks on the crosshair....but if I zoom about 1/2 to 3/4 in, the center of the crosshairs makes the hit..... Thanks for that - I'll give it a go. Chris, you're right. There's a new reef just off the Newfie coast made out of European rifle rounds! My fault for straying to the Dark Side (camp and snipe) - I'm better off running-and-gunning or sneakin'-and-stabbin'!
-
A question for experienced snipers here. I'm puzzled. Using a Kar with scope, I placed the crosshairs in the centre of the opponent's forehead, held breath and fired. He didn't go down but returned fire and killed me with a single shot. Are environmental physics at play in the game? Does one have to compensate for a "breeze" over a distance, for example?

An interesting piece of creative writing comparing the "good" old days with modern times, certainly. I guess we shall have to overlook the burning of fossil fuels in our homes to heat them rather than the energy-efficient combi boilers of today. Likewise, we'll ignore the tons of lead spewed into the atmosphere by 1950s and 1960s vintage motor transport before the advent of unleaded petrol (gasoline). I always thanked the previous generation for their biggest "gift" to the world - radioactivity - as that is a gift that doesn't go away during ones lifetime. I don't know about recycling efforts across the Atlantic but nearly everything we use in the house, these days, gets recycled and we have a collection of bins and boxes outside to hold the material until it's collected. Even food waste gets composted now.

A thought-provoking news item here about a 20 year-old keen videogamer who died from DVT: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-14350216 It's got to be a good idea to take a break every so often, get out of the seat and move around (get another beer, go outside for a smoke, visit the bathroom?).

Shamu, I tend to look at other countries' justice systems and say "it works for them". I applaud the dignified reaction of the Norwegian people who will emerge stronger after all this grief and pain. Their country may well be very different after all the legal process is over but not in the way the perpetrator wanted.

Would the cops leave a beaten-up guy without medical treatment?

There must be a lot of HD porn being watched on-demand in the East End of London to justify this! Won't affect trans-Atlantic pings, though, will it? We'd still get plugged as our bullets reached Newfoundland. No sign of anything fibre optic down here - we'll still be gaming over twisted copper wires for a long time yet!
