I found this little thing in the config. set ace_bodyfly "5" When you get hit by an explosive your body will fly like it is suppose to. LOL Can't wait to see HXTR fly. LOL I wondered what the guy leaping out of the bushes and doing a star jump was... I was waiting for one of Chile's "boos"!

I don't laugh half as much on other servers... It's a bit like going to a circus where the performers use bazookas.

Oh, that's a shame... JK! I'm actually getting to grips with some of the sniper maps, would you believe! I managed 4 kills in a game, last night! LOL!

Labob I acually think its like a mortar of arti config turned into a bullet one. We get to fire arty from an M14? Wow! I like that! Not least because of the reaction that would provoke from those who object to rifle nades!!!

(NB: I am not doing the ground work to earn a pain in the ass/ whiner/ cock medal! ) The name of this map is lsb_[something-or-other] and it is a sniping map set in a large open cave system. The two teams spawn on opposite sides of the cave and may not cross to the other side. Approaching within ten yards of the border results in a warning and the player dies from a "bat bite" if this is ignored. Trouble is that the cave is wider than the range of rifles. Unless players advance into the daylight, they remain hidden, firing away unable to hit anything or be hit. It is common to run out of ammo without a kill. The games drag on to such an extent that the map is a bore and we ended it tonight with mass suicides in two rounds. A fix would be to increase the range of the sniper rifles to over 310 yards (I think someone said a player was camping 306 yards away).

Whilst you can count me as a "Halloween hater", anything (within reason) that raises funds for those in need of help has to be a good thing. Great that those who do like this sort of thing can go to a dedicated centre to enjoy it.

Peeping toms in public toilets will love it for grabbing pictures of their neighbours in adjacent stalls!

Had to abort my gaming session last night, when the map downloads sank to 40KBps (11-12 minute waiting time). I wonder if this is server issue as it doesn't happen on the stock FT server? This will trigger suggestions to use XI Downloader, I am sure. Tried that - the new program doesn't work at all for me (the old version did but the latest just sits their analysing my machine...) so I cannot use it even when it doesn't crash the PC.

Interesting but, as the report says, not as major a threat as skimmers at places where you purchase goods. One well-publicised case in the UK that involved a criminal network in Asia using skimmed details at petrol (gas) stations convinced me to never again use a card when buying fuel. More recently, criminals have attached skimmer devices to pumps themselves so details entered at the pump (when the station is unstaffed) can be captured. ATMs can also be tampered with in a similar way with the additional threat of ones PIN being captured via a miniature camera. Banks also use an automated system of security that analyses transactions and will block ones card from further use if a suspect transaction takes place. This is a very blunt instrument and, as I have experienced personally, can cause the customer great inconvenience and embarrassment. If you use a credit card to donate to charity you risk having your card blocked. The reason is that criminals test stolen cards by making small donations to the Red Cross to see if the transaction goes through. If it does, that means they can buy whatever goods they want knowing that the card is not going to be declined. The charities lose, of course, because the bank system does not check to see if the card user has previously made donations to the same charity. This really pisses me off especially when the bank has my telephone numbers and doesn't call me. The only way you find out is when you try to use your card to pay for something later. It's happened to me several times - eventually, I worked out that it always happened about a week after a major disaster like an earthquake or tsunami... I challenged the bank, angrily, and they admitted that it was disaster relief donations to the Red Cross that triggered these blocks. I told them I was relieved that these problems had not happened on the other side of the English Channel - there is a different attitude to failure to pay bills over there and I'd certainly have been led away in handcuffs by the French gendarmerie! So credit card skimmers are thieves but I have no love for the banks either!

The spawns are messed up on this map - both teams spawn together and the only competition is who can mow the opposition down the most quickly! The game is over in a matter of minutes. Maybe it should be removed from the rotation?
