Anyone got this new game by id in their sights?

zapped DeeJayKeg , I thought it was for everybody , Kilo is from Germany , great player and nice people , enjoys the vietnam and regular freeze tag server and all the maps but doesn't know how to write english to apply for membership . Hope I didn't over step the boundary by telling him about the downloader. A long time ago, I was sure we were told to keep the facility within the clan so our bandwidth was not eaten up. I'm guessing that there is a cost element involved and, similar to our own personal bandwidth allowances with our ISPs, the hosting company would require extra payment(s) if any "allowance" was exceeded. JohnnyDOS has cleared up the situation with the maps being available to all so maybe there was a change of heart or of the clan's policy. I can understand if the huge game patches are not made available, though. Even if one does not wish to subscribe to IGN and is prepared to sit in a queue to use the public channel, Filefront is a good way to go when getting them. So, it looks as if you have no cause to worry, zapped (and it wasn't even your referral I was commenting about! LOL!).

Sonovabich You can get all the maps from the XI downloader, you will see the link on the left side of our forum page, just follow the instructions and you should be good to go, usually best to set it going when you are finished playing for the day, there are so many maps it could take a couple of hours, any problems with it just post again. This is the second suggestion I have heard and read in recent days that a non-clan member should use the XI Downloader to get maps and patches. I had thought this was restricted to the clan so the bandwidth would be preserved. Could an Admin please clarify so I don't seem like an unfriendly/ ignorant ass when we talk to visitors on the servers? Are all maps and patches available to everyone now? Thanks.

Somehow I managed to get myself stuck in spectate mode when joining the server, last night. The onscreen prompt told me to press "Mouse 4" to exit. I have a gaming mouse with lots of buttons - pressed them all to no effect. Tried "Esc" and that didn't work. Is there a console command to return a player to the join team screen? (As it was an unhandled exception crashed the game and I had to run it again.)

I have a 24" Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM and advise you do not buy this manufacturer's products (I also own a Samsung 37" WS HD TV with which there is a significant irritating issue due to manufacture).

Yes, they removed the bit about passing data they collect to third parties BUT origin will still collect data on your installed software and use of it and your IP address. This is claimed to be for the purpose of sorting out bugs etc. There are also privacy settings within Origin that users are advised to review e.g. Facebook Connect and publication of games installed (similar to Steam). We played this map last night and at least two players - one clan member and one visitor - found a way onto the top of the thatched barn at the spawn point to the east of the map (the righthand side in this picture as you look at it). At the time there was some debate as to whether this was a glitch - it certainly appeared to be one as the players could remain either fully or partly concealed in the thatch and appeared invulnerable to bullets. This is not the first potential glitch in this map (players will recall the dung heap in the central house). If it is known about, could an ADM please confirm so that we can advise players accordingly. If it's a new one, could an ADM take a look at it, please, and consider fixing it or removing the map from rotation? I am most grateful for your kind attention and remain, henceforth and hereafter your faithful target...

If the majority don't like the map currently offered, there's always mass suicide to bring the game to an end and move on.
