Clearly you hadn't experienced what was happening yourself as, if you had, you'd have understood that the so-called "redirection" didn't work properly because it pointed towards an invalid server IP address. So, the end result was a time-out at the player's end and a return to the game menu. DM Custom Maps is popular not only due to the maps on it but the mix of folks who turn up daily to play it. You're being highly presumptuous to expect other servers to have that appeal, especially when they're empty... Anyhow, Rugger's changed it now and it comes up as an 18-slot server, presumably with the final two passworded? Let's see how it goes. -

Ah, so the 22 slots are actually 21 unless they are 20? That's much clearer, thanks. It doesn't seem set up right from the player's perspective because it loads the map then places you in spec mode until it kicks you back out into the ether. It looks as if the rented slot is just being used to tell folks they cannot play before kicking them out and that is odd. I'd find it less irritating personally for the game itself to declare "Server is full" as it does elsewhere/ did before here. -
If you or someone you know has been a victim of Cryptolocker, there is now a free portal to get the encrypted files decrypted free-of-charge, following a successful operation by the FBI and security companies. Well done, good guys! Read this article for full details including a link to the portal: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-28661463

We are being redirected when there are 20 players in the game. That is the point we are trying to convey. The extra two slots are no longer being used as they once were for the benefit of clan members and a fix is required. If it isn't going to be fixed, Rugger could save a few dollars by dropping it to a straight 20-slot server. -
Does this mean the web site is going South?

As you probably know, we went through this pain, earlier in the year, and things worked out eventually. I hope and pray you have a similar result and end up in a better home to that from which you were evicted.

This was the scene, a few miles away from us, earlier today, when Prince Harry visited.

The way it used to work was that there were actually 22 slots on the '20-slot' server and members could access the two extra places by using the password. Now, as has been said, one doesn't get into the game but is redirected away within seconds. -

The centenary of the outbreak of the First World War is being marked at the Tower of London in a visually stunning way with 888,246 ceramic poppies planted in the fortress's moat - one for each of the British and colonial casualties of that conflict. http://metro.co.uk/2014/08/03/tower-of-london-marks-wwi-centenary-with-dramatic-art-installation-4819866 HRH Prince Harry is visiting our town tomorrow for the dedication of the Step Short Arch as Folkestone was the primary embarkation point for troops going to fight in Belgium. http://www.stepshort.co.uk/ We have a permanent reminder of the sacrifice of Canadian troops nearby, at Shorncliffe Garrison, where there is a cemetery full of brave Canucks' graves. http://www.canadiangreatwarproject.com/memorials/shorncliffe.asp (The annual ceremony still takes place and local schoolchildren place flowers on each grave.) WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

What to do when the power and inet is down???
DEEJAYKEG replied to Archie's topic in General Discussion
Were you aware that, in July 2012, this planet was just a week away from being sent back to the 18th century? A double-whammy coronal mass ejection from the Sun, had it occurred a week later than it actually did, would have fried anything and everything digital and electrical. One would not have been able, it is suggested, to flush a toilet. Most people keep "money" in banks though, with use of credit and debit cards, the cash is just a number. No stock exchanges, no phones, no electricity... Steam and water power only. Makes me doubly glad we have a well! http://www.space.com/26669-huge-solar-storm-2012-destruction.html -
I would guess that only Brits, Aussies and Canadians might be following the Glasgow games but one of the treats of this sporting gathering, when my country - England - gets the gold, is the playing of our anthem. There has been a lobby for years for "Jerusalem" to be adopted as the anthem of England. Now, I bet that has many Americans totally baffled... All the constituent countries of the United Kingdom, of which England is just one, has its own anthem. However, outside the context of these games, ours isn't yet recognised. Here's a treat for you. The national hymn of England followed by the national anthem of the UK. Both always bring a tear to my eye!

You have to love the way the audience is getting into this song... LOL! http://youtu.be/9qvI49SGQUQ

My apologies to my learned friend but, yes, our country did possess territory in Europe within its Empire: Malta and Cyprus. (It also occupied Minorca but that changed hands, the French then the Spanish holding it.) EDIT - a postscript. China certainly: Hong Kong. South America definitely: The Falkland Islands! The map that LOM has used actually shows all the countries that ours has invaded! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/9653497/British-have-invaded-nine-out-of-ten-countries-so-look-out-Luxembourg.html For those who are puzzled by the references to "the pink bits", perhaps thinking this may be some salacious talk, the true meaning is conveyed in this short clip from one of my favourite movies - "Hope and Glory".

American inventors design spacecraft to explore the deep reaches of our solar system. British inventors design "fart machines" to send rude noises across the English Channel to France! Yes, they do! Perhaps because there are some amazing games that cannot be ported to PC? One of my all-time favourites is the Wipeout series on PlayStation, for example. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wipeout_%28series%29

If one is aware of its pitfalls and sufficiently sensible to avoid them, it is useful to maintain contact with family around the planet. If ones family all live in the same town, its worth is greatly lessened.

Frank always looked on the bright side. He would constantly irritate his friends with his eternal optimism. No matter how horrible the circumstance, he would always reply, "It could have been worse." To cure him of his annoying habit, his friends decided to invent a situation so completely bad, so terrible, that even Frank could find no hope in it. On the golf course one day, one of them said, "Frank, did you hear about Tom? He came home last night, found his wife in bed with another man, shot them both and then turned the gun on himself!" "That`s awful," said Frank, "But it could have been worse." "How in the hell," asked his angry friend, "Could it have been worse?" "Well," replied Frank, "If it had happened the night before, I`d be dead now!"
