In a previous discussion some said having our clan on that list gave us exposure and helped attract members. Other than the members of the various clans who vote, few even know this site exists. And we certainly don't lack for members. The site serves no other purpose than to make money from advertising. The amount of money the site makes is based on the usual structure for Internet ad sales - how many hits the site gets. I'm not inclined to support that. The owners of the site could give a hoot how the clans place or whether any clans cheat at jacking the vote. About all this activity does is serve as a constant source of complaint that other clans cheat, or that XI isn't number one. Don't see any point to sticking ourselves in the eye with a sharp stick.

Had you been serious, I was going to ask you secret. I have two daughters. They both have moved back in, back out, and back in, etc., and currently, my 40-year-old daughter lives with us after her second failed marriage with my 20-year-old granddaughter. When I graduated high school as one of 12 kids, my parents gave me two months to go to college, join the military, or get a job. Either way, I was expected to be gone. That's not how it works anymore.

It's not him. He's just a worker bee in the hive. The threat to the West is the mindset/cultural history of these several nations which are largely made up of tribes/religious factions. The people don't think, or see the world, the way we do. They automatically despise us because we are the haves and they are the have nots; because their twisted view of religion says their god demands blood where we grant forgiveness; that any who don't believe are to be killed. You can't defeat that; nor should you even try. Of course we were absolutely justified in making war on those who attacked us and I had no problem expanding it to governments (Iraq) which supported them. That done, we should have retreated incountry into highly protected bases, and conducted further mayhem against them from the air only - no feet on the ground. Our troops mostly are killed patrolling. Answer, don't patrol. You let these tribes have at each other; kill each other; whatever - what do we care? But we stay there, protected, only to ensure that whatever tribe ends up in charge, bends to our will, or, big bomb she come again. Bottom line: you cannot defeat these nations in the traditional sense. You cannot nation-build and create democracies there. But we do need to maintain a presence there so that we can more easily kill the crazy bastards as they threaten or engage in harm against us.
