  1. A while back when we wanted to set a level playing field we standardized some of the settings. You need to do exactly as it says. /rate 25000 Type that in the console.
  2. Yeah this isn't so much about changing your preferred server but getting a following on both servers. It'll take a little collective concerted effort to get going. I believe we have more than enough players to fill both servers. During PST evening hours quite a few of the non-XI regulars play on the ESC server. They could very well be playing on our server. Once we have the redirect working we shall have more people bookmark this server.
  3. @Ruggerxi is the redirect working?
  4. @Sammy play with us, why don't you.
  5. You are right, I was thinking states going east, Mexico and further down south.
  6. It is expected for East coast and European players to get a higher ping. What's interesting is that Australians got 70ms shaved off of theirs, was not expecting that. To re-iterate the goal of this additional server is to attract more players in nearby time zones and have virtually 24/7 server play-ability of this game - both East & West coast.
  7. I was thinking ahead, but I realize there might be a cost to higher slots. We are fine for now. Thanks.
  8. @Ruggerxi can we set this one up as a redirect server, and increase the number of players to 30-32 whichever is the stable max. Thank you all for spending time to test this out, I am excited about a location balanced server. If some Europeans can login and share feedback that would be great as well.
  9. Please post your pings when you connect and any feedback on hit registration and such. @Ruthless @Bosun @AusiGirl @M!dg3t @J3st3r
  10. The NY server is a wasteland from 8pm-1am PST. This is the time when us West Coasters like to game. If we can have a following on this server, it would benefit the players and we will attract a Latin American player base as well.
  11. Hi folks, In case you missed Rugger's Clan PM, we have an additional COD4 server in US West Coast. For folks in the midwest, or west coast this is a great addition, playing with lower ping and in Pacific Time Zone. 162.248.93.160:28960 >XI< MW2 Freezetag West @babyback @azzkikr @LOCO @Uranium @Tron @Hoth @WldPenguin
  12. I have an old old desktop, Core2Quad CPU, w/8GB RAM, would run windows 10. It has a, and bear with me Sapphire 4870 card. It does need a PSU, and of course a HDD. Like I said, it's old. If you want you can have it. Now that I think about it, for the price of shipping you can by an equivalent RaspberryPi or Intel one-box PC.

  14. You could fly to the US buy a PC take it back to Europe and it might be cheaper than buying it in Europe. Conversely it's cheaper for Americans to get healthcare elsewhere but that's a different subject matter. Have you looked at Nvidia cloud gaming? It would connect to your steam account and you can play at 60FPS over the cloud.
  15. I remember that too, I was hoping to shoot the predator but wasn't sure if you could come thru the window of that building. Fun times.
  16. I am starting this thread for players to post their crazy predator flying skills... I will go first. @WldPenguin - show this to Bryan @bobo59 Brian_Predadtor - Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2022.06.05 - 11.48.07.07.DVR_Trim.mp4
  17. This one is glitchy, sad to say but it needs to be either fixed or go. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2022.06.16 - 13.32.39.06.mp4
  18. @WldPenguin you like to rotate don't you.
  19. Both OSes have their strengths and weaknesses really depends on what you intend to do on your machine. I use a MBP and a Windows machine at work. At home use for browsing, audio/video calling I use my iPad + iPhone combo. I use custom built Windows machine for gaming ( yes I know I don’t as much now), dev work, and occasional video editing, phone backups. As many of you Windows users know by now the availability of SW support on Windows is extensive. The option to upgrade parts in custom builds is great. I also use Ubuntu Linux when I want maximum CPU performance for dev work and/or other things. Also, I get better online privacy with Ubuntu or well I am much more in control from an OS standpoint. My relationship with Apple’s products over the last 18 years has been a love hate affair. On one side you have this ecosystem that plays really well when all your gadgets are from the same family. Once you make peace with all you are “allowed” to do you really don’t feel the need for anything else. On the other hand it can be frustrating when you realize you want to do things a bit out of the box and then you have to pay a premium for the choices you have made for your computing needs. For gaming, that is PC gaming, Windows wins hands-down. Moving on to mobile computing Apple has delivered on performance and battery life where Windows devices including the ones from Microsoft have failed for the last quite a few years now. There is no one-shoe fits all solution anymore as computing requirements have diversified and technology is evolving at an exponential pace. As time goes, you will find that your choice of OS will become less and less relevant as they will all be doing the same things and mostly over the cloud. It will increasingly become a subjective choice informed primarily by personal preferences. Not to mention, the image conscious folk projecting their tech as status symbols.
  20. Family is safe and that is all that matters... The truck has a few scratches I think they will buff right out.
  21. You got good memory @Sharpe. It certainly rings a bell. I don't remember what I did specifically. I believe it was with a RD 7870 Or maybe the RD 4870. My PC wasn't booting due to a GFX error and then it worked after I did this and the solder resettled. You just have to be careful with the temperature setting on the oven.
