I can't see how Jay. Cutting out the middle man and going direct to source means no licencing fee needs to be accounted for, and generally, when buying from source from other games, it's been cheaper than 3rd party.

 

I remember Americas army you could buy from the US army if you wanted an official ranked server and it was cheaper than getting one from a 3rd party for just a ranked server.

 

Same for when Arma 1 was released on PC many many moons ago

Well, I'm waiting to see the cost of renting a server. Had a look at ganeservers for BF4 and bf3...I figure it has to be at least 1/3 cheaper.

There are lots of questions in the BF.com thread linked above, but not much in the way of answers.  My main question before ordering is will XI have a BF1 server for us to meet and play on?

We are discussing that right now.... Same`s for me. I`ll only be buying if we have a server for it...

I'm not really sure what all the gripping is about...you will still be able to rent and control the servers just like before....sounds like you idiots would bitch about being hung by a new rope....

The rent part you are right... The control part not so much...... Yet...... Let`s hope Damit has it right and they will give us more info on the ''more'' part. Like language filters, reserved slots, kicking/banning and so on.....

BF4 maybe? And play on the BESTEST server there is (XI)? With the shit they announced on BF1 i wouldn`t be bothered to get that i think.....

I had no clue jay started battlefield 4 at >XI< i allways had the idear it was someone els. like edd the duck or so, and smurf who was allways starting the server up in the morning every day haha i remember that still. that was a long time ago man, i remember having a good time every morning with the rambo's and SOB and johnny and smurf and edd. the breakfast club!!!

Also we need to change the guns rotation in GM.The shield as first weapon is a pain in the ass and a lot of players are complaining

What maps needs to be the start up map you think? I can set that. Rest is up to votemap actually. Don't see any point in changing the maps after the first map.... never done that actually....
