Completely agree Streetcleaner I too like the music not the show, were Megadeth good live?, I'll add Disturbed to the list I wish I'd seen. Trouble with prices is that now they are the norm with huge shows and huge stadiums to earn maximum bucks, the music is secondary and the crowds don't mind. By the way look out, recently here in the UK a deaf lady took a group to court, and won, because they had not provided a 'signer' (sign language) at the gig, world is barking mad.

Agree with Labob if they are drunk or stoned and unable to play you should get a refund, happened twice to me. I would love to have seen Chicago Deerejohn, the group I really regret not seeing live were Rammstein especially as I have no hair to singe lol.

Reading all the peoples comments on gigs they've been to leads me to an awful confession, I never really enjoyed many and the quality of the music in most cases was poor. Now let me explain, music is a very large part of my life, unlike most I kept my lp's (400+), and have about the same number of cd's played through an expensive sound system. Mainly rock, metal and electric blues ( I refuse to use the bloody fashionable word 'eclectic' oh f..k I did ) Some of the bands I have seen live (most before fame) are Jethro Tull (Houston and UK), Deep Purple (Montreal), Groundhogs (UK), Led Zeppelin, Free, Fleetwood Mac ( both versions), Saxon ( In a working mens club), and lots more including Ravi Shankar in Boston. Two years ago or so I went to see Killswitch Engage at a local university, boy did I get stared at, easily the oldest there. Now I appreciate the occasion etc. but considering the price of the tickets etc it is an expensive business, I always wanted to see Neil Young and had an opportunity recently but they wanted £150 for the privilege, no thanks for that I could buy most of his music. It was a turning point for me, I realised that for me music was a one to one thing, not part of a sweaty steaming mass, so no more gigs, just me and my hi fi. Does anyone else feel like me?, or do you think live bands are better? I went to one festival on the insistence of a friend and was completely unimpressed by the so called supergroups. Conversely I walked into a pub in Aberdeen and left 6 hours later after listening to the best electric blues guitar player I had ever heard, similar stories with folk music in Ireland. I think that paying huge prices to watch a group, probably with binoculars, in a venue with crap acoustics is very overrated and I won't do it anymore, but everyone to their own. Must have pressed this twice???

Ok, not having paid much attention to the Civil war (and American history in general) I've read a lot more and I am very surprised. This appears to be a case that history is written by the victors, and my preconceptions are in tatters. As an unbiased outsider I see an autocratic regime, outnumbering the opposition, using shocking tactics to civilians and post victory wiping out all in their path (native americans one example). I truly am shocked, this is not the good guys winning but political expediency and corruption at it's worst. No the wonder bitterness still remains, all sides have been sold out at all stages. Am I wrong in my conclusion, there appear to be no winners other than the rich men sponsoring the whole event. As in all wars the weasels live and the brave die, we never learn do we? I realise that people at the time need to do what they think correct, but this was a very complex war, bitterly contested and Gettysburg only one example. I still cannot fathom out the underlying cause (and I do not mean slavery), there must have been deep seated resentment, what was it? Money? jealousy? fear? or simply ambitions. Natural sympathies favour the underdog (south), but I find very little to see why the majority favoured the North, am I missing something in the mood of the day? Each book I read is biased, not unnaturally, one way or the other, dependant on the author, is there a good unbiased book that concentrates on facts? I am now fascinated by this as logic seems to have been thrown out of the window. Oh yes, sorry forgot to mention boobs and bums, otherwise most will ignore this

Don't worry I'll be back when I can, at the moment still can't sit for long and theres no way I'm letting Painkiller thrash me. By blubber i meant seal fat not crying, they eat funny things in the arctic.
-
You been eating blubber again?

Yep some previous technologies cannot be replicated today, one is the giant slabs lifted into position by the Romans (one was left in the quarry) that we would struggle to do now. There are lots of things mankind still cannot explain, like how a womans mind works? You seen any ufo's topic has gone quiet so presume no more people have seen anything.
-
Ah, Zombie the Unidentified Farting Object how are you mate?

Queenie knows that tbb is actually tubarubadub, most don't see the full lettering in all it's manly glory, bet Stormcrow gets one, srw, he won't be able to resist.

Yea I saw that Lunkster thanks, Wiltshire seems to be what they call a hot spot, for the rest of the idiots reading thats not a part of the female anatomy you want to lick, it's where theres a lot of ufo activity. Did you see or know someone who saw anything??

Frenchi très intéressant - est-ce que la sonde a fait mal, et était-ce là où le soleil ne brille pas?
-
Err? I don,'t have a camera on my phone? But good point I think a lot of people just keep things to themselves, jury's still out. However if you see the positive responses from the relatively few that read this post and multiply that, you cannot help wondering.

Well my conclusion is that three members I play with, trust and know have had experiences, that says to me something is happening? So I lean more towards thinking there are UFO's now, if our members haven't reported them then it is highly likely that thousands of others haven't too. The other thing I have discovered is that it is certain Frenchi has been probed, this explains a lot.

I'll bet you were experimented on, the men in black will visit soon

You tried unplugging one of the monitors as you seem to be running 2, one at a time see what results are. Hard drive does look suspicious but other things would show up I guess Could be pcie bus settings are not correct, sometimes on auto they slip back, can you check what they are, presume your system should be generation 3. The board is in the high speed slot isn't it?
-
Methinks you haven't read space and time by the recently deceased Stephen Hawking? Very interested by your experience Spin as I know you are genuine.
-
I knew it would be dangerous to ask idiots lol!

Due to the long boring winter I stumbled upon things about UFO's on youtube, I was always dubious, but with the internet and tv/books I read and watched quite a bit. I'm not fully convinced but theres an awful lot of what I would call good witnesses, multi person sightings off ordinary people. As we have a lot of people reading these forums does anyone have experience of anything unusual that couldn't be explained, personally I have no strange sightings, interested if anyone else has.
