Never misses a chance that boy, employee of the year
-
I've got a big one

Yea batteries do that, if not used they regain some charge, just enough to fool you and give you false starts until the voltage drops low enough not to work, you can test if you have a multimeter

Ayaq my boy, it came to me this morning in bed, then I had a great idea for the book, you only need to get your pilots licence, I'll bet you have one already my intrepid adventurer. I was lying in bed, watching back to back episodes of the last alaskans and flying wild and thought 'no more canoes', the way forward is to fly to your adventures. Spotted a great buy on an auction site that only required a little glue and a fresh elastic band, we fellow idiots could crowd fund the purchase, I'm sure we could stretch to 50 bucks? Perhaps stretch and elastic bands do not go well together, but fear not, your welfare is paramount. I got so excited that I dropped a stitch on the fair isle sweater I am knitting for you before the fall, bet you guys in the upper 49th are looking forward to the snows? The other idea I had, whilst doing a particularly tricky knot in macrame, was to bring back live bears (even sasquatch?) instead of shooting them, gives you more of an audience for the books with tree huggers. We could fit a larger passenger seat in the plane, what do you think? I know you must be working hard on your recovery, but get back to your adventures soon, do you think flying is the way forward ??

Yea, I also hope the power supply has the correct connectors for her motherboard, as time marches on connectors change, too late now. Gently support motherboard from underneath when pressing new connectors in, easy to damage. When I replace power supply I take all cards off the motherboard, makes it easier, when routeing wires.

Goddam, neither do we?

Laughed at the comments after Yorktown, unfortunately true, we have few freedoms in Europe now. Discounted Stalingrad because you'd have to hover round in the cold for weeks I thought of Thermopylae too, and a few others

Broke the rules two of your own?

Shit forgot about Kursk, but I chose hand to hand combat over weaponry, bloodier but modern wars are well documented, not so those in the past, so I ignored bullets.

Ok, heres one for all you battle hardened warriors :- You have to pick 3 battles from any period in history you could hover over and watch without getting hurt in any way, Three rules :- 1/. Only one may involve the country you live in 2/. They must have been real battles i.e. not fictional 3/. You must state who they were between and why they interest you My choices would be 1/. Clontarf where the Vikings were expelled from Ireland in 1014, the battle lasted an entire day near Dublin, Vikings always fascinated me as I live near the site of the first ever English raid. Now we all know how fierce the Vikings were and this was their heyday, the Irish must have been pissed off and quite cross lol. 2/. Agincourt (sorry Frenchi), 1415 where a vastly outnumbered, malnourished English army slaughtered a vastly superior French force, a lesson in tactics, brutality and over confidence by the French, this counts for my country, the ultimate battle for the longbow. 3/. Battle of the Teutoburg forest 9 ad, I admire the Romans as being possibly the finest fighting troops ever, however in this battle they were defeated by the Germanic tribes, the beginning of their end. This must have been a monumentous battle but as they lost historical accounts are almost non existent as to how, I could see what really happened. ps I wanted an air and sea battle too Leyte ? Trafalgar, etc but these won, you could go on forever

Sounds like the CMOS battery on the motherboard to me, little silver one, when they go the time goes all to hell, and it won't start if down in voltage, easy fix

You won't be able to bunny hop soon

Got some ladies pregnant on the fishing boat eh? I've heard of desperate fisherman nailing skate to the mast for 'relaxation', makes a change I suppose from your female moose companion, do you take the blond wig? Up here on the Scottish borders luckily theres a limitless supply of sheep, if you ever visit. The butler just returned with two tins of skinless and boneless pink salmon, the Rolls will stink, does the man think I'm made of money? Said it was a bogof, certainly smells like it. Hope you recover soon, I shan't sleep tonight with the picture of you lying on your back with your legs in the air, if you need some tips the XI ladies would be glad to help I'm sure. Must dash have some idiots to kill.

What a man, I knew you'd be up to some adventure or other, yet another string to your bow, fishing eh? I watch that programme where they sail for the crab from Dutch Harbour. Quite where you pluck the courage to do these adventures I cannot imagine. I too was a bit unsteady on my feet last night, but we'll not go there?, it must have been in sympathy with you my brave buddy. I too have been busy, and have almost finished crotcheting a new table mat, in extreme conditions, I had run out of milk for my tea, we are truly brothers. Heal well my brave boy, be ready for that next challenge . ps Thanks for the warning about a forthcoming salmon shortage, I've ordered an extra tin of pink (can't afford red) on this weeks shopping when my butler goes out. Is this insider dealing?.

You be careful boy you'll end up as large as your portions, as usual looks delicious. -
Ayaq my boy (presume you are a boy?) how are you? thought you'd been out trapping as we hadn't heard from you for a while. Lay in bed this morning watching the last alaskans and thought of the dangers you face everyday, you must be a real man to live up there? (you are a man?) It came as a surprise to see you know so much about illicit sexual encounters, even the street names, but we understand that you need a change now and again from your moose friend. Do you have a blond wig for her? send us a picture. I think you have it wrong, I don't smoke and have never been with a 'hukkah' in my life, in fact I am so unnatractive to girls when I say Alexa she replies 'I already have a boyfriend'? bitch. How is the book going?

I think he was under the weather when he typed this, although I applaud his patriotism it is hollywood vs reality. America did not exist, these were British people rebelling against British taxes etc, i.e. a civil war, now if you mentioned the later civil war he would go all sentimental. Sorry these weren't (yet) Americans, they were Brits who saw a chance to break away and above all profit, the leaders were anything but 'simple folk', they were opportunists. The French of course saw a great opportunity and as Frenchi and Timmah rightly pointed out sponsored it all, they in fact historically were the big losers by not gaining the control they expected. The fact is that as the superpower of the time it is us who could have 'nuked' them, but as explained earlier we had other fish to fry, our mistake. What I would politely point out that as a relatively small nation we have kicked the arse of nearly everyone else in the world. So if you do want to come and nuke us make sure, make very sure, cos we love fighting, we don't brag, we just do.

On the subject of British troops drinking the ale in the White House, there is a similar story when John Paul Jones raided Whitehaven, they made a bit of a mess of it, and the Marines headed for the pub and got drunk, warfare was very different then. The French invading Fishguard got drunk too, so stuff nuclear missiles, lets build more pubs as a defence against invasion I used to ignore history at school but am now fascinated with it, especially the history of ordinary folk, not royalty, by God am I glad I was born when I was, hard hard lives they had.

Yea in truth we were very stretched with our empire at that period and we gave up America to keep India, probably out of greed. Remember, even if you don't like it, your founding fathers were predominantly from the UK, I live near Washington hall. If they had known about gold and latterly oil etc. it would have been much much different believe me. Considering your hatred of your President it is no surprise that you are different, wanting to nuke us, kill our Royals etc etc. When you make us a resort look me up, I'll find a nice place for you, because intellectuals like you deserve it.
