I recommend backing up all the important stuff anyways. An external USB drive would be the most convenient. A pain in the ass to look for it all as well as time consuming but just in case something goes wrong. Not sure about 32-64 upgrades but it might put your x32 windows folder and program files into an old folder for safe keeping.

AMD, mostly because of price for what you get. A black phenom 2 quad core but havent overclocked it or anything. Not exactly sure what I can do with it.

There is support for multiple hard drives but it looks like MS wants you to do things their way with storage spaces. I dont know enough how that works. From what I read it works the normal way as well but might require the mb drivers added for raid I think.

I assume that means everything under the hood, so to speak, runs the same or better than win 7. Also no compatibility problems? If the UI itself wasnt the tablet stuff it would basically be the usual desktop OS? From what I see the start button button is only that. There is no start menu. So Start8 or one like it would be needed. I do have some privacy concerns with 8 since that is one of the bugaboos of mine. I assume all that can be shut off if desired but I am always on the look out for gotchas that turn up later.

Grrr, looks great but to play it I am going to have to come up with the scratch to get a good gpu. Too many other priorities to pay for. -
Within the next couple weeks I will be moving on from XP. So looking at Windows 7 and 8. The more I read the more I dont like Windows 8 but I have never used it. Is there really much of difference between the two except for Metro and some different goodies here and there?

Pretty much means back to basics. None of the 'arcade' stuff typical with cod games. Also more limitations on weapons.

Deer can be a menace. I am near a couple of transit lanes for deer so to speak and I have had many plants eaten down to nothing by them. Hungry little varmints.

Often lag spikes can be sign to keep an eye on a player but in itself doesnt not mean he is cheating. But yes if an admin makes a comment like that and the player leaves without a word then he was a cheater.

Lag binding. Usually to one of the unused keys on a gaming mouse. If they are being shot at, or running out it the open, they toggle the key. Mostly defensive because they usually cant hit shit either. PB can sometimes detect it if lost packets happens too much. The streaming PB community services are useful for global bans of such people when they get caught. Otherwise, not much you can do. Yes if you see the guy suddenly warping across the screen when you start shooting at him then it suggests this but it not enough to determine he is cheating.
