Also have to remember that in the mw2 server players are running slightly faster than the default speeds. And that the default jumping setting is shut off. Both make it harder to get kills than it otherwise would be. People want it that way, so it is what it is. Oh and keep in mind that the saritch is overpowered due to a significant error on my part that I didnt know about until not too long ago. Set some things to their defaults (the old 'way it was meant to be played' argument used for marty etc), a properly balanced saritch, and I wonder what would happen. By nature, any change means some will get more kills and some will get fewer. And of course those that get fewer will complain like little bitches. ?

Since its both send and receive, but voice only not SFX, it still sounds like a game problem. Maybe in the menus chose to set everything to default and go from there?

Nobody despite a lot of trying using different modes. The current mod is Fraghouse Invasion. So one player can enter it and play the game with bots if nobody else comes in. Fun mod with a lot of constant action but it is an admittedly old game. Also, if its just you alone then there is no reason to go onto a server. Run your own at home. That said, even with its age it is a much better sniper server than CoD4/5 with some good weapons and loads of maps. Good times. And none of them are those no-cross maps that I hate and wont play. A sniper game where you hardly have to move your view and never have to worry about your sides... or getting knifed... is boring. ?

One thing to check out, if you tend to get headaches after prolonged use of computer monitors, is whether or not a particular monitor suffers from flicker problems ( PWM backlighting) . This is different from FPS or refresh rate.

Wow. Ok they do have 144 IPS monitors now. Yep as always, pretty pricey for new things. More than I could ever afford.

Note that IPS monitors cant do more than 60hz. So that excellent color and clarity comes at a cost if you want a monitor to primarily play games. That said, I like this one for just those reasons, excellent color, brightness, and clarity. But I am casual gamer not hard core. Ok, after seeing a few defrosters in action here is my opinion. First one bit of info. There is an old problem where a few bullet weapons are doing twice as much damage as they should be. That is being fixed. Also, short range bullet weapons are hitting it. Which is silly to say the least. Strictly speaking, in the stock games long range air based streaks are only destroyed by missiles and rockets. So destroying them by bullet weapons doesnt make sense anyways but its always been there. The faster speed does seem to make it harder to target. However there is a more important benefit. The faster speed allows it to make a full circle of the map not just 1/2. I havent yet seen enough of the reaper to make a judgement.

The timer for the defroster is unchanged at 30 seconds. Perhaps tomorrow I can get a look at the speed on the server and see how it plays out in the game.
