the fucking thing keeps kicking me for punkbstrB.exe heartbeats stopped. ive uninstalled pb and reinstalled, ive done a memtest, ive ran as admin, ive done everything i can think of and i keep getting that fucking error. can anyone help

I am having the exact same problem. I tried to put COD5 into the second computer and PB kicks my grandson every time.

I have tried every damn thing I could think of. Updated and upgraded everything. Checked the firewall, to make sure pb-b was on the ok list. Uninstalled it and reinstalled, updated it. 

I don't know what to do. Please HELP!!!

I got nothing to add there in the video, but sometimes you have to reboot and such and check Services with PBSVC to see if your firewall is open.

Hit me up and I will cross loop you and fix that for you. I did not watch the video but know that punk buster runs in the back ground even though you have shut it off. I thought you needed PB with COD.

Now if you do not want to run it while in game there is an option in game for PB. That would need to be unchecked first then go into services and DISABLE IT. Then restart the game.  Thats in crysis any hoot.

Also try disabling ALL anti virus and firewall shit just to see if that fixes it. If that works then it is a setting in your firewall software.

i have found that if you do the manual update it seems to work while the auto update for pb doesnt work. uninstalling and reinstalling is not always the key ..  plus in the past if your firewall is turned on and you dont allow pb to be used it will kick you

This is Bushape, Blackbirds Grandpa, we are trying to setup my old computer so we can both play. I have done the manual update a couple of times and I shut off the firewall, so that is not it. I uninstalled and reinstalled it a couple of times too. Thanks for the video. It was worth a shot, but I already did it. I will have to hit up Wizid.

Disclaimer:  I am no pro.  If you've done these things already, I apologize as I don't know how to help.  Here's what I would check to troubleshoot:

 

- No firewall at all (windows or any zone alarm or norton type crap), beware of any antivirus with added "features" sometimes they will block other things.  I would temporarily disable the antivirus altogether for testing purposes.

- Are you behind a router?  Are you using wifi?  Plug in directly to the modem.

Im directly into the modem, i have no firewalls up or anything that can be blocking it. i have done the manual install and its still doing. can someone host their cod4 pb file (someone that never has a pb issue) ive heard i can get it from someone else and it might fix the problem.

The services might not be running. to check hit the "windows key + R" to bring up the run window, type in "services.msc" and hit ok. the services should pop up. scroll down and find punkbuster a & b, both should be set to automatic and both should be started.

 

on WAW you cannot play the same GUID at the same time or PB will kick one. you need 2 copies of the game to play at the same time

I have tried it with no firewall. I updated everything I could think of and then some. PB still kicks after about 1 or 2 minutes. I guess I will keep trying and maybe something will work.

Anybody else have any suggestions? Please

I'm sure that PunkBusterB is set to auto start but try setting it to auto restart;

 

Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services/Right Click PunkBusterB/Properties/Recovery- in all 3 drop down boxes choose "Restart the Service",click ok

I might be talking out my ass, but I'll throw this out there ---I was having problems like that and it turned out my sound drivers were conflicting- I had soundblaster and they were screwing up with realtek onboard. Not real smart about that just something else to consider.

I had the same issues and eventually did a complete delete and reinstall of PB, it was the only thing that really seemed to help.

 

I also have to make sure PC Tools Spyware Doctor is turned off....it seems to block PB and may contribute to the heartbeat issue.

 

In researching Google I seem to recall Windows Defender in Win 7 may also contribute to this problem.

 

Since I did the delete and full reinstall things are much better. I still can get the heartbeat kick but it is rare.

I couldn't do it, I watched the oiled up boobies bounce in time to that incrediblyGehy song. I tried but my eyes just kept going back to the avatar. LOL

 

I too ran in to the same problem Saturday, playing over on 1stMSOB 4.2 (really frustrating to get kicked in those games) I took it off the router andswapped out NIC cards for a better one today. Hopefully it goes away when I playin a bit today.

i figured out how to fix it. what i did was uninstall pb and run CCcleaner. then i install it using the automatic version. after that finishes i throw in the manual version as well lol. had to reinstall firefox after i did CCcleaner but a nessessary evil. apparently it worked for bushape too
