I am ok we were without cable but other then that everything with us was good. This is some video of one of the tornados in Tuscaloosa which is about a hour and a half away from us and this tornado stayed on the ground for over 2 hours.

The other one is the same tornado that hit in my county.

Spears, is that you in the second video?

Almost the same dialect / voice :)

First video very impressive and dang mothernature..... but that guy... drove my NUTS with his "omg omg omg omg omg" I would have give him the KO ... and hold the camera. Sorry but that was to much "oh my god". Just my opinion.

Yea calhoun is my county too.....freakin scary as hell.  This is the same that went thru B'ham.   This tornado was over a mile wide and i think they said it stayed on the ground for like 187 miles or something like that....It went from one side of the state to the other.  And it didnt let up at all.

Here in Knoxville, TN - we had a LOT of golf-ball sized hail, there are pictures on local news showing fist-sized hail chunks.  I found one almost 3 inches wide, I still have it in the freezer.

Both of our cars look like someone took a ball-peen hammer to them, we had 3 windows broken out of the house, and our wood siding looks like a shooting-range backstop.  Our trees are shredded, and the ground is still covered with an inch-thick layer of shredded leaves.  Street drains and runoff sewers are stopped up with all the debris.

The homeowners and car insurance companies are SWAMPED with claims, it could be weeks before we can settle.

But all that being said, my brother lives in Birmingham, AL.... and while it didn't hit his house, he knows 2 of the people that died in tornados, and one of his daughter's high school BFF was killed in the Tuscaloosa tornado - so all in all, we were VERY lucky to have only suffered some minor property damage here.

I just heard on the radio, that a lady here in Knoxville found a thick-paper legal document in her yard after the storm.... she looked it up & called, and turns out the document was from a company near Tuscaloosa whose office was destroyed in the tornado.  She actually talked to someone at the company, who thanked her & told her that document was in a heavy, locked filing cabinet on the first floor of a two-story building that was leveled.

It is just under 300 miles from Knoxville to Tuscaloosa., and that paper made it here.  Damn.
