I am sending the card back to xfx to be warrantied I put ladys xfx4890 in my computer and I still am getting those shadows. But one game and just CoD2.. do you have Directx 7 selected or directx 9. Try 7 and see if that helps. But ray will see this soon.. he is the man for this. Or others.. It can be the mod/maps or change it to dx7 and try it. Try also the following: 1) Start - Run and type in : DXDIAG Check the tab boxes and see if you have it all error free. Plus, if you run a 64bits OS, click on "64-bits DxDiag" button. be sure that all 3 are doing the DirectX-functions. 2) If your motherboard is supported with 2 PCI-E slots. Try a other slot. And maybe even try the other powercable. 3) Try driver agent(but dont buy it!), just to check if you are missing something. 4) Scan your harddrive by : chkdsk /f /r Reason is that sometimes people have issues with just one game and ended up with (a) bad block(s) on the HDD. I have to admitt that I never checked it with my old 3870, but nice to know to test that I hope you can do the steps above first page.
