I consider myself reasonable secure when dealing with online stuff, but today my yahoo account was hacked. At 1am, Central time someone logged into my yahoo account from a mobile in Spain, and used my email to broadcast spam to all 533 contacts in my address book. I sincerely hope I did not have any of you guys in there (I don't think there are too many) but if you got one of these from me, I sincerely apologize. If you have a yahoo account, make sure you set up the secondary log in check that they offer, but never seem to tell anyone about. Go to Account settings and select "Set up your second sign-in verification". This will allow Yahoo to force verification if your account is logged into from another location or computer/device. It is a little more of a pain, but it is better than what happened to me!!! BTW, If you didn't get one of these spam mails, I now know a great place to buy totally legitimate Viagara with no prescription and it says it is genuine, so it must be
 I and others in his email list were getting ads for Viagra every day. I thought he was screwing around with me (old dude jokes), but found all in his address book were getting it and he wasn't sending them. Fortunately, it didn't seem contageous so I don't seem to have an issue. I think he finally did something, since the mails stopped coming (or they ran out of Viagra!). This was my old yahoo password, I can put it here because I will never use it again and it is worthless and not even close for anything else - 5Gv8fTY61) Anyway, the best thing to do is to change your password (if they don't do that first) and like Budman says, run AntiMalware. I found 8 browser hijackers on my computer so I think somehow they got a key logger installed. Otherwise, how the hell would they guess that password!!! Shows you cannot be too careful All I can say is: Good, up to date antivirus package Malwarebytes, up to date and run a minimum of once a week BTW, I noticed your work email in the list so assume you will get one of the spam mails, along with most other people at work. In my area this situation has been occurring very regular! Everyone has been watching over the accounts and makes lots of noise if a blank subject email shows up. About the only thing left to do is change your password regular and make it difficult plus the 2nd password. Good luck hope you get the creature that is causing the headache.... What I learned was that you can easily stop it by changing your password, and once you've done that run a full scan to clear out any residual files. You probably downloaded the virus when you received one of the emails that you're now sending out, and "inadvertantly" clicked on the link in the spam which automatically downloads a trojan into your account. The links are just a scam and from what I hear don't actually lead to a sales site for Viagra, they're just a means of embedding the trojan into your PC.
