I am anticipating the best archery season ever for myself. I secured access to some private land here in WI. This will be my first time ever deer hunting on private land, not counting one trip I took to IL a few years back. I will spend opening weekend in MN with my dad (same weekend, Sept 15) then I am taking that whole week off to hunt the rest of it in WI. Success rate isn't all that great so we take what we can get. I do guided hog hunts............we got plenty of them around here and there fun to shoot....I'm planning to do the same though take a week off and hunt hard archery before all the idiots get to walking around with there rifles. Last year I hunted public land near Wyocena, WI mostly. This year I am hunting a farm out by Elroy, WI. I spend the gun season stomping around in Northern WI by Park Falls.
