In fact 2 years to today is when I blew my knee out. Four operations later and my doctor says that he can't fix my knee with surgery. To make matters worse workers comp will not allow me to seek another opinion on the matter. They have scheduled a functional evaluation of my knee to asses disability rating. I can't walk without a crutch and my knee is so unstable is just gives out at random times. My rehab people suggest that I will get a full disabled rating. I would rather have a knee replacement and avoid the other shit if possible. It seems that workers comp has manipulated the doctor in their favor in my opinion. I do have a lawyer on my case but if there is any advice anyone can give me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks , Twinkie hxtr and Joe Canadian 2 Awards

Well long story short workman's comp was only willing to pay a cheap fix with there doctors so answer for me was I had high end insurance and frankly told them to go fuck themselves and went out to find the BESThand surgeon in my region turns out I met a Dr.Peter Townsend (The Who) no relation of course but he helped in developing Arthroscopic Surgery and had patents on most tools that are used in this manner today...Well repairs to my wrist were not possible But he did what he could and did very well with it .....I have limited moved but no pain at all unless I use the little fingers too much which are no longer connected at the wrist....Find the best you can and get the best available....My insurance later sued workers comp with out any attorneys form me and were compensated I would say a Sports Doctor is what you need that is what Dr. Peter Townsend was in All the Best loADER>XI< KaptCrunch 1 Awards

As for my quality of life, it sucks now. I know that there are many people out there that are in worse shape than me but I have to be a little selfish right now. I cant walk. I dont have a college degree. I know that is all my fault but without the use of my leg my work opportunities are very limited unless someone just takes pity on me and gives me a job and works with me with my new disability. I guess I will have to adjust to this new life. Please don't misunderstand me I have nothing against people with disabilities of any kind. I just never thought my knee injury would result in a full disability for me at 34. I have a great understanding and supportive wife to help me through this. As far as pain goes I have a lot of it. My knee swells to the size of a grapefruit daily. And my hip on my good leg has started to dislocate due to all the extra stress and strain I put on it. This was the second doctor to operate on me for the same issue. I don't think workers comp would allow me to see another doctor without me sending a law suit their way. If you already have a lawyer have them ask for it because the WC people wouldnt talk to me anymore after I hired my lawyer. I wish you the best
