It is a Walther PPK/S .22 with a threaded barrel for use with a silencer. What is nice about this one it is actually made in Germany as opposed to recent Walther's made in the U.S. because of import laws that have been in place since maybe the 70's. This is not to be confused with Walther's made by Smith and Wesson such as the Walther P22. (Note: an adapter is needed to fit the silencer. Can't recall thread sizes, all I can say is that it is the same adapter used for the Walther P-22) http://www.huntertownarms.com/adapters.php tsw 8.5, ENG4INE , EXTRAKAMIKAZE QC and 1 other

Take time to occasionally wipe it down with a gun cloth. Too much historical and personal value to not take good care of it.

No pitting and the finish is as nice as the day it was made. The German Eagle insignia will add collector value. Very often the markings on a gun contribute to value. Like having a Swastika or the Chrysanthemum on the Japanese rifles. On most Japanese rifles the Chrysanthemum was ground off after the war. Quote from Wikipedia: The Imperial Ownership Seal, a 16-petal chrysanthemum known as the Chrysanthemum Flower Seal (菊花紋章 Kikkamonshō or Kikukamonshō) stamped upon the top of the receiver in all official Imperial-issue rifles, has often been defaced by filing, grinding, or stamping on surviving examples. There are conflicting claims that this was done on the orders of the Imperial Japanese Military prior to surrender, or by U.S. occupation personnel prior to approving a U.S. soldier's permit to take home a rifle as a souvenir. No documentation from either Japanese or U.S. forces has been found that required the defacing. Most of the Arisakas with surviving insignias are in Japan, though there are a few remaining on samples taken as war trophies before the surrender, and those captured by Chinese forces. As an example a pick of one of my Arisaka's from Nagoya Arsenal; Edited September 14, 2013 by Shamu EXTRAKAMIKAZE QC
