High Pings, slow downloads on ACE/Redirect

Am i the only one?

I recognized that my ping on the ACE Mod server is unusual. Normally i have pings between 145-150ms.
Since a couple of days my pings are constantly at 200ms, sometimes up to 500ms and CIs

Today i tried to connect to the server and had to download the map with 40Kb/s max:

 

 

Tried the downloader, 210KB max:

 

 

Huge amount of spikes in HLSW:

 

 

 

 

I have no prolems to play on other servers like FT MW2 Beta. Everything is as usual. ~ 130-140ms, no CIs and so on.

Techno this is actually not so uncommon! I have a pretty good connection but when I connect to the ace mod everything is a game in itself. There are times I download a map in 30 seconds then the very next map it starts out that way and then half way through it jumps up to over an hour for downloading a map I already have. There are so many that has told me the same thing. It makes playing there almost impossible for me so when it happens I go do something else if reconnecting once doesn't fix the problem! Try that and see what happens then! Good luck!

I have experienced that also last couple days. When it slows down, if you look at the location, it usually jumps from the redirect to a direct download. Happens for mods also.

 

edit: since it doesnt happen to everybody I do wonder if something is wrong on the game install here.

It's not only the download speed it's also the latency. This is weird. Sometimes i play with 150ms for a few minutes then it goes up to 200ms again.

Look at my screenshot. The file location is the redirect. That's the weird thing. It's not always like that. But every few maps. My second problem is the latency.

I don't think, that this is caused by a bad installation. Everythin is as usual on the other servers.
