NN is more about the large suppliers of bandwidth for me it would be rogers ,bell etc . You guys would be the same its the large telephone and cable companies. They want to double dip into the money jar. So I get 120 gig a month to download at upto (hate that term) 3.5 meg. I hook up to netflix watch a movie that is 1.5 gig in size. Alls well. Except the large telecoms want netflix to pay for the same bandwidth. Now it a lot more complex than that netflix does have to have servers in the telecom's server banks etc same with google for better access to youtube.  So this tax will be netflix charging more so they can pay more to the telecoms. The telecoms will start creating packages for better access to things like youtube , torrent sites, netflix, anything or any site they feel people will pay more to see. So just like all the bundling they do now on cable and satellite you're going to see it from your isp. You want a better connection to netflix well for 4.99 more a month we will supply you a direct connection to netflix the weather network's web site and a few other useless sites that will be willing to pay comcast more for better visibility to the customers of comcast. Of course if you don't want to pay for better access to netflix for no additional charge you can use comcasts version of netflix for no extra few just a small monthly fee a few dollars more then netflix charges.Because we do not want to reduce competition on the internet. Anyway expect to pay 10 or 20 dollars more a month for what you do online. Including gaming. Want a better ping 5 bucks and we will reduce the nodes you pass through. If we can't do that we will slow down those from whatever server your on.

Not exactly right. Read those and stop listening to those stupid celebrities talk about it.

Ted Cruz is correct. You should compare it to Obama Care.

In the end you will be paying out your fucking nose.

And how does it compare to Obama Care? It would add the same amount of tax you paid for telephone service which is quite small. It would not do what you are saying because it infact is proposed to make that illegal. ISPs would not be able to charge extra for faster access to Netflix. Net Neutrality is proposed to eliminate "fast lanes" not create them as you are saying it is.

Imagine if in the OW2 mod I built in advantages for players that wanted to pay me a monthly subscription for it. The more you pay the higher the damage your gun will do. Or how about a micro transaction where if you pay me you will immediately get a tac nuke.

Sound fair? Free market after all.

Because Obama Care was a lie and they admitted some of the lies. But sure you missed that.

All this Obamacare garbage is just that. Garbage. And that is because it is almost nothing like the system as it was first proposed to congress. Maybe that one would have been better and it shouldnt have been changed by congress... right and left... into the mess we have now.

You need to go ask yourself what the major changes to the original were, who wanted them, and what they did to get them.

In other words, if NN passes then your favorite HD porn site would have to pay your ISP so you can stream the video without having to buffer. Do you have the patience for video buffering while you're holding little johnny in your hand? It's like ISPs charging the content providers a gate tax. ISPs will make more money, you will just have to deal with more frustration.

That's why companies like Google and Netflix are fighting this. Netflix's service on comcast did not improve until they paid Comcast a "ransom".

More than that, it is suggested that they also throttled them by artificially creating huge bottlenecks at significant locations. Yes that magically went away.

The question is, should we trust the big telecoms when they say what they want will be better us.

that is incorrect. If Net Neutrality passes you HD porn site would not have to pay for a fast lane because ISP would not be able to mess with the speed of any of the traffic. They would be regulated not to touch any traffic or charge. You guys really need to read what is actually being proposed instead of what ISP's are hiring people to say. Since when would you trust Time Warner or Comcast. Any ISP will lose money if this passes including Google (Google Fibre is now and ISP).

Time Warner and Comcast are against Net Neutrality.

That was a perfect representation of what will happen and is happening. Boy that was funny and sad at the same time.

How anyone can support NN is beyond me.

I never knew my Data was so discriminated against. I will have to do a million bit march in D.C. to protest and ask for equal right for each bit I byte.

Sherm I learned it would happen back in 2006 just the way it is being presented... It 100% is going to happen. The power pulling the strings need it for a good reason. Control.
