Ok folks taking a break from BF$ and going back to Cod4

been awhile since I played freeze tag

so I have tried 5 times now to install and it keeps hanging up half way thru

disc looks great so should not be it

everything looks good

has anyone else had issue with Cod4 and windows 8.1 64 bit

upgrade to win 10 u ll be good win 8 sux just saying.....or  go to win7 everything works properly with win7

Had no issues on Windows 8.1 or 10 with CoD4. Just copied the files from disc to hdd and installed from there.

Definitely would get off of 8.x as it was rife with problems.

DO NOT USE THE AUTO LAUNCH

1) Right-click > Open on the drive containing the CoD4 DVD

 

2) Select setup.exe > Right Click > Properties > privilege Level put the check on "Run this program as an administrator" . Apply, double click on setup.exe and install the game.

 

3) install your patches https://www.xtremeidiots.com/files/category/21-patches/
