Wonder if this could be one of those times a vpn could get you a faster/more direct route? Might be worth trying?

Interestingly I tried pinging an Aussie server and was getting around 291ms. I then connected a vpn via London and I was getting 271ms, so it seems it is possible to knock some off.

Like I said in game, it would seem if you could get a route through Hawaii, you might knock quite a bit off. The vpn "Private internet access" has servers in Honolulu, I wonder if you connected via them if it would route you Sydney > Honolulu > Cali > New York. I would assume this might knock some ms off, but you can only test it and see. The connection isn't guaranteed to be good either. 

You can also just try Express or Nord vpn and connect to a bunch of different Sydney servers, and see if it knocks some off. If you could even have roughly the same route you posted, but without the extra Spain hop, it might knock some off.  Some of these offer 30 day money back, so can always try, and get a refund if it doesn't work out. 

As I said in game, if you try it, best to test with cmd "ping 162.248.95.178" for each different vpn server if you try it, and compare with your current connection.

Sounds like you have to contact your provider. I had that problem before and it turned out to be bad cable coming to my house also they had a bad card at their server. Do a speed check as well and see if your getting what you pay for because they maybe throttling your service.

Dunno, it is probably taking a longer route to get to the server. That's where the vpn might be able to shorten it. I'm curious what happens when you run a tracert on this ip "162.248.93.160". This was the west cost server ip.

Damn, that makes so much difference for me, using my vpn knocked 8 hops and 30+ms off, and gameplay feels much more stable. I'd never considered that using a vpn would do anything but slow it down even more.

I use express, I checked every server in Australia and the Sydney 2 server works the best for me. from 26 hops down to 18 and from 260ish ping down to 230ish. Im thinking I may have to keep it on permanently as it appears to improve speeds on Youtube and possibly all websites.

Like the drawing on loader comment i did ping test on my connection so i saw that i had a lot of micro CI even with a not bad ping about 80ms thats time gaming experience was still a pain, now im on fiber no problems anymore .

Yeah, yeah; Aussie doesn't need a better ping, always blowing me up with rockets & shit. 

She's the reason I take the long way around, camping those main thoroughfares. 

Needs a line going through Isle of Man or British Micronesia or something.

Internet should be used with a computer cable connection, because if you are using it on a wireless connection, you may experience ping problems and reset the modem, if there is software such as VPN in the background, I recommend you to turn it off.
